Greetings

When I found myself in Laguna Beach over the holidays I had to stop and take a picture with "The Greeter."
I used to wave at this statue all of the time when I was a little kid and we'd drive by it. I'm glad it's still here.

OMG. I used to wave at him too, when I was a kid! I'm glad he's still there, too!

Hey Jorge,
When I read this, I thought about Hurley as a little kid and was wondering: Did you look anything like Caden Waidyatilleka when you were 10?
Greetings from Luxembourg

Looks as scary as the giant Amish people outside of Roadside America in Pennsylvania

I´m glad you found the greeter again. And I´m glad becouse I met u. Your character in Lost is very nice, but your blog is nicer.

I will visit u from time to time.

I liked a lot the post about the gloves in Wisconsin.

Does anyone remember the "Big Boy" or "Happy Chef" restaurants? Nothing scarier to a five year old than a 20 or 30 foot tall fat, fiberglass giant!

The greeter looks like Tom Hanks did after a year on the island in Castaway! Get as many pictures as you can while you're still in Hawaii- you'll be glad you did. Love reading your blog-you've got a great sense of humor and one darn really cute Nunu!

Now he has a magic finger. What's with the pointing finger thingy?

Hmm, looks like he could make good use of the magic finger glove.
Nice pic.

At first glance I thought it was the creepy dead pirate dude from Pirates of the Caribbean.

I always thought this was the Pull My Finger monster. (ah the gateway to Pacific coast highway day trips to Newport Beach, Huntington and Seal- Great memories!)

This has nothing to do with that, but I remembered you mentioning Snuggie with a foot pocket, and...

Damn Angie! You beat me to it. I was going to make a post about this when I saw one at my sister's house.

Maybe I will anyway.

Thankfully he chose to be a "greeter" and not a physician...just imagine getting a prostate exam from that guy?!

Jorge,

He looks like one of my uncles! But with twice the IQ.
