Still Growing

Aero Garden is doing fine.
Now there is only one guy I'm waiting to sprout.
C'mon parsley. Why can't you be more like your siblings.

I'm sorry is that pushy? Go ahead. In your own time. You'll pop out when you're ready.

Look What Came In My Mail

I got this letter.
Here's the picture.
Wow. I mean I get that he drew Nunu, I talk about Nunu all of the time. But how did he know about my Unicorn and Flaming Sword?

And if he drew this for me, what kind of picture did he draw for the BEST character?

Thanks Jed, it's a sweet tribute.

Went to the Emmys

So I got to go to the Emmys last weekend.
It was fun.
Here I took a picture of myself on the red carpet in the shadow of the giant Emmy statue.
This is what it looked like inside the Governor's Ball.
The colors reminded of the "It's a Small World" ride.
Suddenly I found myself alone with Michael's Emmy.
But just as I made my move Burky appeared out of the darkness.

Also... and I'm not sure how this happened.
But over the course of the evening I lost all three buttons on my jacket.
See here's me at the beginning on the red carpet.
Clearly there are buttons.

And here is me riding back to the hotel and not a single button on the jacket anymore.
Mysterious.

Death's Doors

Welcome to Jorge's House of Death.

Sometimes geckos are at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I know this because a few door frames at this house are decorated with their skeletons.
I always found these things more fascinating than gross because their corpses were already very dry and crispy so I knew it must have happened a long time ago, before we even lived here.

Then I found this guy.
Aw man. A freshy. That means it was us.

C'mon geckos!
How many of you have to die before you realize a door is not a place to hang out?

So cleanup is going to require my favorite tool for picking up the gross.
First attempt resulted in removing just his tail.
Sorry dude.
Try again. Easy does it.
I literally had to peel it off.
There we go.
Done.

And then I threw him on the roof.

Aero Garden and Garden Garden

More plants have popped up.

By the way I think I figured out a way to fend off the snails while still keeping my garden organic and pet safe.
Yes the box is upside down. As I was shaking the stuff around I ended up squeezing it and the pellets started falling out the bottom. Now I just use the bottom as the spout.
It seemed to work so I have replanted like crazy.
It's really been a close out on the seeds I own because I know I'm going to be moving next year.

I'm diggin' these bags

I posted about them before
But now that I'm using them I have to say they are pretty sweet.
The drawstring is really the selling point for me. It's so much easier than knotting or trying to find a twist-tie.

I just need to pick up a second pack because when I'm at the store I use them up in no time.

P.S. The first time I used them I even got bag credits for them.

Costa Rican Hotel Explorer

As I've mentioned before you don't even have to leave your hotel to see something exotic.
Take this Basilisk trotting along poolside.

LA Paparazzi

A bummer about the paparazzi when you've been traveling for a while is
sometimes you run out of socks.

Costa Rican Wildlife Explorer: Eyelash Viper

Okay now here's something that was close enough to get a good picture.
There were two just sitting here.
Apparently they don't move much because our guide knew exactly where to find them.

Got a Touch-N-Brush

I would have probably held out except for the fact that the flip cap on the toothpaste broke off and it was really annoying to deal with.

So as soon as this thing appeared in the As Seen On TV store I picked it up.

For those who don't know. Touch-n-brush is a one-handed toothpaste dispenser.
You just push
and presto, toothpaste on the brush.

And it works by creating vacuum suction so it's supposed to suck out all of the toothpaste in the tube. We'll see when we get there.

Spider Monkey Mystery

So something weird showed up in my Spider Monkeys pictures.
It's like an orange blob. Not sure what it is. This is the original picture.
Now I'll bring up the exposure.
And lighten the shadows.
See the orange thing to the right?
What is that?

hmm...
