Disneyland

From ComicCon we went to Disneyland.
The first night we just checked into the hotel and watched the lights of the ferris wheel from the balcony of our room.
They moved the Mickey Mouse head from the roller coaster to the ferris wheel. It looks cool but now the roller coaster seems to be missing something.

Hi Jorge!!!!
I like all pictures what you put in your blog! Are You fan of Mikki Mouse ?! Yes. I am too.
I have one idea. I know that in 2010 year will be the auction Lost. But I think it will be better that everebody - actors from Lost to make Lost Museum with all these things.
And send Hello for Dear Walt (not from lost), for Walt Disney!!!! :)

Hi Jorge!
Disneyland seems wonderful in USA. Don't you think you may be there once as your Lost character "Hurley"? There was a fake news about a Lost attraction in Disneyland at the end of the show.

Is this you?

This blog has me convinced it's yours, but I (and an app called twitBlock) question whether the twitter account is.

What is is about Disney that seems to bring out the ... less mentally organized?

I went to Disneyland for the first time last year but the rollercoaster still has the Mickey head. I agree it looks like something is missing without it.

Did they also change how the Sun Wheel works (Mickey Wheel now I guess?) For me, that was the worse ride I went on.

Hey did you know that Disney has a lot of problems with people scattering their loved ones ashes in a pretend cemetery associated with a Disney movie? (Forgot the title)
Do you think there will be a L O S T ride?

One of these days I'm going to Disneyland or Disney World.

And I will not care if I look like a big over grown kid.

My son already thinks I do that, anyway. lol

Besos~~

Maybe they could replace it with Mighty Mouse? Naaah

Ms.Rose'

If your comment was referencing me, there are a few things you may want to consider. If it wasn't I'm as guilty of jumping to conclusions as you appear to be.

Jorge just set up a twitter account. Twitter has a problem with users that impersonate celebrities. It also has a problem with marketeers harvesting personal info and spamming other users.

It would be a simple task, once a spammer finds a celebrity site, to copy pictures off it for a Twitter profile and link to the celebrities site to appear genuine. Identity theft.

Jorge's twitter account only had a few posts to twitter. A common trait of spammer accounts. Jorge also followed around 500 twitter users overnight, including me. Also a spammer trait. Very few of the people Jorge followed reciprocated with follows back. Another sign of a spammer account is being ignored. Jorge's twitter account rated the highest in the spammer index of any account my twitBlock application has tested to date.

Because Jorge's webSite gives all appearance of being legitimate instead of blocking his account I was trying to do him a favor by giving him a heads up that someone on twitter was claiming to be him and linking back to his webSite. If it's a spammer that was stealing his identity I thought he'd want to know. If the account was actually his, after seeing his list of followers, I thought he may want to know about the free application.

So you see, it was nothing about Disney, and I was certainly more mentally organized than your attempt to be sophisticated (or whatever) at someone's expense.

Jorge,

We love Disneyland and CA Adventure. I hope you will post some more pictures. Lots of construction going on as they redo CA Adventure.

Looks like you have the deluxe Park View room at the Grand CA Hotel. We love that place and always stay there. Try the corn chowder from room service, it's delicious.

Hope you are having (or had) a swell time!

If I ever go to Comic-Con, there's no way I'm not hitting up Disneyland before or after.

Please tell me you found some more awesome toys there.

Hey everybody. I do NOT have a twitter account.
That guy is an imposter.

Lori said...

I do not like that at all. I liked the Mickey head on the coaster, plus I think it takes away from the "Sun Wheel" theme to slap a giant Mickey on it.

Tammy said...

Yeah, when I went there for my birthday in May, I thought the same thing about the roller coaster....it just doesn't look right without the Mickey head.

Not too surprised that your view of the park is from the Grand Californian Hotel. [Very nice!]

The theatre in Downtown Disney, is where I first saw LOST during the ABC Premiere Weekend. [Watching the 2 hour pilot on a movie screen... AWESOME!!!]

I can't believe that was 5 years ago! WOW! Where does the time go???

Never been to DisneyLand but been to Disney World twice when the kids were little. That's some good fun. I think hubs and I might go without kids one day.

Lori, it's not the "Sun Wheel" any more. It was changed to "Mickey's Fun Wheel"

How fun! I just took my 34 year old husband to Disney for his first time. It was fantastic! Nothing better than a Disney day.

Erin said...

What a cool ferris wheel! But you're right, they should put something on the coaster now...

Jorge, you may want to contact support@twitter.com & http://www.ic3.gov

This could be a PR nightmare. His username is Jorge1Garcia.

Sorry to clutter your page and make myself the 'bad guy' here. Just trying to help.

Did anyone recognize you at Disneyland? I live 15 min away from there, and I am quite bummed I missed another opportunity to see you :(
Anyhoo! Hope you had a great time!!

Someone spotted you and took a couple photos: http://micechat.com/forums/disneyland-resort/120547-dizneyphotoguy-trip-report-7-27-09-photos-galore.html

Lori said...

@mbrady - I guess that would explain why it so detracts from the "Sun Wheel" theme :) I liked the old look, though. The outline of the Mickey head on the coaster was more subtle, as was the sun; this huge Mickey head on the wheel looks cheesy to me.

Whoa. I was just there last summer. That looks a lot different! Cool!

I totally saw Henry Ian Cusick at Disneyland on that Friday (whenever Comic Con was). My sister wanted to yell "I'm so glad you made it off the island!" but we refrained from bugging him because he appeared to be with his kids.

Seriously love you and your blog!
