A Little Behind The Scenes Moment

This is from the episode "The Candidate."
The shot was walking up this hill in Manoa Valley.

In fact it was so wet and muddy here that when I grabbed onto this fallen tree, the wood crumbled in my hands.

Jorge!

You are awesome. My boyfriend and I went with some friends to Jimmy Kimmel just to see you! YOU WERE AWESOME! I never knew you had a blog until that show and checked it out right when I got home.

I always believed since the pilot of LOST you'd save the world or something. Or you're like God..or something. Man. If you died on LOST...that would really suck.

Anyway, here is a song I made a long time ago inspired by LOST. I sampled a few key lines from the show. Thought I'd like to share. I hope you read these comments one by one? Might as well try. That doesn't hurt.

I'm planning to make a new LOST-inspired song once the show is over.

You rule.

Mud sucks!

Manoa Valley gets the highest rainfall on the island. I used to love taking the Round Top Drive. Looks like mud season here in Vermont!

that's a glamourous life, huh? How did it smell there? I can't get that aroma out of my mind of the forests and tropics there.

Thanks for the amazing behind the scenes pics. I hope you intend to keep up with your blog, even though the show is finishing up!

So, are you giving us a clue? You get stuck in some magical LOST Island mud, & can't leave , so you take Jacob's place! Sounds like as good a reason as any :)

Oh the glamour of shooting Lost! Love you Jorge and Beth. Can't believe the journey is almost over.

Thank you so much for the great pictures. I'm excited and sad all at the same time for the conclusion of LOST!

Ah! I was there when you guys were filming! I didn't see any of the actors though, too much security! :P

Love the muck! On a more bittersweet note, tomorrow's going to hurt. For sentimental reasons, I will feel very lost (pardon the intentional pun). Your show saw me through 2 pregnancies & many sleepless nights. My son (4) thinks "Hurley is the best". My daughter (6) thinks Locke has "kind eyes even if he's a mean monster". Will miss watching you, but look forward to reading more from you.

Jorge,

I hope you get overtime for working in that. As a kid my brother got the family tractor stuck in mud so I had to apply some leverage on the rear tire, needless to say I know what a mud shower feels like.

ok gotta ask, what's up w/Claire's hair? why the does she have the frizzies and nobody else? did she loose her comb? LOL

That's crazy that you can look at a scene and recognize the trees.

Muddy . . but at least you kept your underpants on this time!

Hi Jorge,

I sent you a small something at your old official address (the Grass Skirt Productions one). I sure hope you get it......I've neevr sent a piece of fan mail before in my life (yikes!), and now I'm afraid I've screwed it up, since now I notice that you have a new official mailing address in LA. Oops. Anyway. :)

I hope that you actually get it, and that you like it. I'm a portrait painter in Phoenix, AZ, and I painted a small protrait of you as Hugo Reyes (my favorite LOST character). I have loved LOST for years, and have enjoyed this blog for a long time as well......just wanted to send something along to one of my favorite actors (again, I'm super-nervous, hope it made it through okay). All the best & can't wait for the finale,

Laurel in AZ

In that first pic, it looks like you're looking up in case the Hurley Bird decides to return and wreak its vengeance on you! Hahaha

Hey bud, I was wondering if you're going to keep your blog page going even after you move? Sure hope so.

By the way, I am Damon who keeps commenting your blogs and you commented on mine about you not long ago. I've had to log in with another account all this time, but my real blog account is working now.

Hi Jorge...

Am so excited about tonights final episode before the big finale on sunday! I happened to see you on The View this am.. and i so want one of those photos you gave to whoopi.. i can't remember what the address was to go to so you can buy one.. is there any way we can get 8x10 duplicates of that photo??

I am . . . said...

Hola Jorge!

When I saw that you were going to be on The View this morning I got my DVR all set to go. That was totally sweet for you to give Whoopie that print. I know she is a big fan.

Since you'll need something to do once you get back to the west coast, we can always do lunch in Laguna :)

Gonna miss the show. As my kids would say "I'm sappy" - Happy (excited to see the finale) & sad that it's over.

Stay sweet, duuuuude!

DUDE I have hiked on that EXACT trail in Manoa Valley! Granted it was 8 years ago and the only time I've ever been there. But I slipped in that mud and fell on my butt 3 times, so I remember it well. Very cool.

BusWalker said...

It wasn't quite so mucky when we were there (on the Manoa Falls Trail, anyway) in January, luckily! Ugh.

Noticed you changed your contact info from Grass Skirt Productions - I'd wondered how much longer that'd be your address. Sigh! :-)

I know this is random, but you'd tell us if MIB is going to sprout smoke tendrils on Sunday and start screaming "I AM THE LOCKETOPUS!" as he tossed the remaining cast members around like rag dolls, right?

Damon said...

Dammit! I just watched "A Tribute To Lost" with the cast saying goodbyes. I am in tears... This SUCKS! Don't leave us!!! :(

Damon said...

Hey bud, please read my short "goodbyes" to LOST on my blog.

Thanks so much for letting us see the "personal" side of you in this blog. I was afraid I'd find a highly "commercialized" blog...but I'm glad I was wrong. It's much appreciated, and the drive to the last day of working on Lost...very sad :(

Only four days before the finale. I'm so sad. I watch the show since 2004 I'm gonna feel so empty after the last episode. Just want to say thank you to you and all the cast for entertain me every weeks. I hope you all know how amazing you are. It's actually a coincidence if I begin to watch Lost but I totally fall in love with the show. I start watching it because Emilie de Ravin was one of my favorite actresse and it occur that it was in fact a really great show with a tons of amazing actors and a good story. Lost is and always will be my favorite show.

mbeek said...

Love this!!! Oh, post more behind the scenes - great stuff. Can't wait (though really sad) for the finale. You are going to hear a collective sob when the finale is over.

Hey Jorge!
I am posting here after seeing "What They Died For"
I'll miss Jeff's character. I was hoping he'd get to be real heroic, but he didn't, so you're my only hope!Miles blew it and Richard, well, what can I say about Richard?

Thanks for the great pics!
