Looks Like I'm Going To Be A Bobble

Thought I'd get this out there before I start hearing it from everybody. Interesting choice, but I think it should read "Hugo" Reyes if this is the outfit they're going with. I'm just saying.

  1. I thought this was a really odd choice for the first Hurley bobble head. Based off a Comic-Con promo? I hope the line lasts long enough for a traditional island version!

  2. you may not be able to answer this question, but, are we ever going to find out the origins of the nickname Hurley?

    ReplyDelete
  3. I agree - Hugo, since this is off island and "sideways" reality.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Makes me think of Crocodile Dundee.

    ReplyDelete
  5. hihihi! Awesome and in the same time scared toy! I think that you already have one Toy's Army! Maybe soon, when, will appeare - Toy's Story 3, this choise, would filming there! :)

  6. Well, you know you've made it when you get a bobble head.

It's all down hill from here old boy.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Yeah, weird choice to go with. Mr Clucks? I would have picked the moment when Hugo was jumping into the ocean.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Jorge, Mon Oncle - this film is from 1958??? Who is Grace Park??? I found that she is actreass, not sinnger! Beth, say me, when was podcast, that she like Grace Park...

  9. I'm confused...what are you supposed to be wearing? The Chicken place uniform? And what's w/ the crocodile-dundee hat?

I love that you'll be a bobble - but the costume choice is bizarre!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. Damn, that is very Indiana Jones-esque.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Not what I'd picture your bobble as but now you know you've made the big time. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  12. These LOST bobbleheads are so cute! I think it's amazing how lifelike they can make them.

    ReplyDelete
  13. What the hell is with the Crocodile Dundee get-up? I don't EVER remember Hurley wearing anything like that!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. It looks cute! The hat's weird though. I agree if they were putting Hurley in a Cluck's uniform, then it should read Hugo Reyes.

    I'd totally get a Lost bobble. :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. Something's not quite right. Dunno...maybe it's a combo of the Mr. Cluck's shirt, the Aussie hat and the use of "Hurley" instead of "Hugo". It still has a pretty good facial likeness though. Who's putting this bobble-head out?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm reminded of Crocodile Dundee

    ReplyDelete
  17. It looks as though they tried to Crocodile Dundee you up.

    ReplyDelete
  18. well I'll be damned..ain't that a pisser..how cute..

    ReplyDelete
  19. I've missed something along the way... why do they call your character Hurley if his name is Hugo? I've never gotten that.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I must have one. Only I want it to say Huggie Bear!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I never knew you were in Crocodile Dundee! :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. why did they make you look 50? and yes it should say Hugo.

    ReplyDelete
  23. heehee! That is amusing! I wonder what the idea was behind the hat? Has Hurley ever worn a hat??

    ReplyDelete
  24. Where's the "Fun Time Hurley" bobble head? That's the stuff I'm looking for.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Is this Mr. Cluck on walk-about?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Why would they go with a design that has been in the show for not more than a minute yet? Anyway: It must be mine!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Did Hurley ever wear a hat like that? I don't think so.

    ReplyDelete
  28. You KNOW you've made it when you've become a bobble head. Bwahaha.

    It's cute though. Really.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Except for the cowboy hat, I can totally see it...sort of.. :0)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think you should seriously consider dressing like this in your day-to-day life, Jorge. I think you could make it work.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I've always wanted to know something: have they ever explained why Hugo's nickname is "Hurley"?

Is that a big secret? Or did they mention it and I just missed it?

I think this bobblehead would look great next to my Dwight bobblehead!

    ReplyDelete
  32. So this is what it's like to be famous. Then I must distract my children who currently have stars in their eyes. Their heads are physically big enough

    ReplyDelete
  33. I like Hugo better too. But that hat makes him look like Crocodile Dundee.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jorge,

Throw some shrimps on the 'barby dude!

    ReplyDelete
  35. That's pretty cool. I think it'd be better if you talked and said, "I just lied to a samurai." It's my favorite line of the season so far. (Also, we saw you at "Dining in the Dark" last night. Wasn't that churro dessert amazing?!)

    ReplyDelete
  36. well now, that is just too Kewl !!! I haven't bought any of the others but this one is a must buy lol I agree Hugo would have been better. awesomeness !!!

    ReplyDelete
  37. LOL I agree with you on the *Hugo* and really a hat? When do you where a hat on Lost!

Its awesome to that you are a collectible though.

    ReplyDelete
  38. oh seriously - I would have liked to have seen a Hurley in a red shirt bobble.
I agree with the Hurley/Hugo thing too.
WooHoo - a bobble to join my Ben Linus one - they can bond over a candy bar sitting on a log together LOL

    ReplyDelete
  39. You know, basically I am a positive person, and try not to complain unless I can be part of the solution, but I have to say... REALLY? *This* is the bobblehead "they" (whoever they are) are going with? Not the Hurley we know and love from hundreds of hours of LOST, but the character in the 15 second Mr. Cluck's commercial? Harrumph.

    : ) P

    ReplyDelete
  40. lol I love it. Where are they going to be sold? Are they only making Hurley bobbles?

    ReplyDelete
  41. lol I love it. Where are they going to be sold? Are they only making Hurley bobbles?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wow. How cool is THAT?!?!?!?

I agree--it should be Hugo, not Hurley.

    You have been immortalized (kinda)!

    ReplyDelete
  43. What the heck? You don't get a SAY in this at all? Not liking the outfit- too Indiana Jones meets Crocodile Dundee- you should be in a mega t-shirt and come with a VW bus :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. that rules! I need to get it!

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think it should be Hugo Reyes too. And what's with the hat? Hurley doesn't wear a hat and neither does Hugo! Still, I'd buy one of these bobble heads, cute!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I love the bobble, Jorge, and your work on the show has been great. I'm getting chuckles over how they have Hurley throwing out fan theories.

You recommended Plants Versus Zombies awhile back and I want to return the favor with a great game. If you haven't tried Brutal Legend yet, it's awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I can't wait for this bobble to consume the entirety of the dashboard in my metro.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hi Yah

I think you are so correct about the name choice Hugo it should be. Let them have your input on it.

Two months and I will be in Waikiki, too late for any Lost sightings but fantastic anyway.

Best to you always and please keep up the blog no matter what you do next or where, please?

    Pen2

    Missing Lost already, boo hoo

  49. You know you've made it in The Business when you've got your own Bobblehead.

Congratulations on reaching one of life's loftier goalposts.

You sir are a king amongst men, all hail the mighty bobble blogger!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I agree it should be Hugo. And you should be in a red shirt. And what are you carrying there? Is that hat standard issue for the chicken joint? So many questions!!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Wow that hat is really Crocodile Dundee!

  53. Now you and other bobbles can have a nod off.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Not sure what I think of this. So awesome that you got a bobblehead, but it doesn't seem like Hurley to me. Like if I saw it without knowing who it was, I wouldn't think Hurley. Would have prefered it just being in the typical "island wear" of a dirty t-shirt and jeans.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It looks more like the Hurley "Blues Traveler" Reyes.... now with more Blues Traveler.

It doesn't really look like you!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Dude that's funny! What's up with the Australian outfit?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Awesome! wondering why you are not wearing your red shirt. haha

    ReplyDelete
  58. What baseball game do I have to go to, to get one. You know, like Ichiro?
    ps
They kinda made you look like Hurley-Dundee.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hmmm... When did hurley play crocodile Dundee?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Hahaha this is amazing... I thought you may get a kick out of this, because they're pretty hilarious: http://www.twitpic.com/photos/nedroid

  61. Crickey Dude! That's a beaut of a bobble!

    ReplyDelete
  62. So in Hurley's alternate-reality life, he's both rich AND Indiana Jones? Awesome

    ReplyDelete
  63. What the WHAT?!?!

Well, if for whatever reason they're going that way (?s and !s keep coming to mind at the thought) it definitely should say "Hugo" not "Hurley" -- but sheesh!

    ReplyDelete
  64. you can sign and send me one if ya wanted to.... =)

    ReplyDelete
  65. Sweet! Your bobble bears a resemblance to a certain adventurous archaeologist...yes yes?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lol! You look like Crocodile Dundee! (and of course i like the Aussy touch being one myself and all) But, Hey Jorge just watched episode 9 of the Final Lost season and Jorge... You da man! (But then again i always knew that!) X;-)

    ReplyDelete
  67. I was reading an article this morning and came across a familiar name. http://www.fredericknewspost.com/sections/news/display.htm?storyID=102827
    'Detective Jorge Garcia'

    ReplyDelete
  68. A Hurley bobble!!! I agree, though. It should say "Hugo".

    ReplyDelete
  69. Either way, I don't like the outfit. It should either be how Hurley is really dressed or in a Dharma Initiative jumpsuit. Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I agree~~should be Hugo.

On another note, I LOVED the show last night!! Have already seen it twice.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Why is it "Hurley Reyes" and not just "Hurley" or "Hugo Reyes"?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Pretty sure that bobble heads are everyone's true measure of success. Congratulations.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Ha ha @ the mr cluck's chicken logo.

Yes agree, it should be either Hugo Reyes or just Hurley.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I cant say i've ever seen you in that outfit.. ?!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hey, thanks for telling people! Those of us over at Entertainment Earth are pretty excited to have it. ;-)

Just in case your fans want to buy it, here's a link:

    http://www.entertainmentearth.com/prodinfo.asp?number=BBP08006

And I'll mention the "Hugo" to them ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  76. Whats up with the hat? And what is supposed to be slung over your shoulder?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Hi Jorge

Looks like I will be buying a Bobble head! :) I have never posted on here. I just always read your blogs which I love. I was writing now to see if you received the package I sent a few weeks ago with Candian stuff. I hope you got it! Take Care,
    Linda F.

  78. Or "Hurlo" if it is meant to be an Australian?

    ReplyDelete
  79. Looks like a lot of people here haven't seen the flash-sideways viral vids that were shown at Comic-Con in July. For those of you who are confused about why Hurley is dressed up in his Mick Dundee duds, it was for a sideways-world Mr. Cluck's ad.

  80. HoHoHo! Richard Alpert used to live in my island, as it seems!:D

    PS: Man, you're awesome!:D

    ReplyDelete
  81. I'm guessing this will be the one thing at comic-con I try to get for my swag bag and the one thing that will never end up there cos it will be long gone. last night's ep- That's Hugo getting Jorge an Emmy, if you ask me. Great job- and I'm waiting for a Hugo Spin-off-with a theme song done by Band from TV- call it "Dude..."

    ReplyDelete
  82. Ha! That's not what I would have expected. I feel like I would prefer a traditional Island bobblehead too, but this is kinda fun...

    ReplyDelete
  83. Maravilloso el capĂtulo 6x09, me he quedado sin palabras...

    Un saludo desde Tenerife :)

    ReplyDelete
  84. That hat is hot.

On a side note, in case everybody hasn't told you about this one, but apparently someone is attempting to take on an independent "LOST- Animated Series" project of their own: http://www.behance.net/Gallery/LOST-The-Animated-Series/448458

    ReplyDelete
  85. Is the stubble really prickly?

I don't want a bobble head that I get stubble rash from....

    uh...

don't ask what I do with my bobbleheads.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I don't think this represents Hurley very well. I would have picked a more joyful design, to me that is what Hurley is; this great character making people smile. Definitely should have had a plain shirt instead, that's what you wear most of the time on the island - and then a smile :)

    ReplyDelete
  87. Have you seen this crafty "LOST" post on an embroidery site? These are great. I didn't know where else to post it so I just put it here.

  88. I think I saw a Dr. Chang puppet somewhere!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Yea..the name doesn't fit the pose of your bobble head. "Hurley" sounds more like the nickname that it is....casual, friendly, familiar...as in "Hey there Hurley! How ya doin'?". Definitely Hugo would have been a better choice for this manner of dress and pose. The bobble just seems too "serious" to have the nickname.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I love this bobble!! I think it's the best out of the bunch. It reminds me of the dream Hugo has where Jin speaks English! Great way to be immortalized hey!!
