I actually stumbled on this earlier. Great job! Last night too... Hurley is such a great character, I'll miss him soooo much (tear... snif) seeing Nunu was fun! I hope the little Diva can handle the fame!
Great blog post! It is just starting to sink in that there are only a few more new episodes left to the series - sure am going to miss my weekly Lost "fix"!!
loved Loved LOVED your episode!! When watching with my husband I said "A picnic on the beach & he remembered the blanket!!" before my husband could finish saying "Are you going to cry?", I was in tears. Such a sweet scene.
Great write-up of a fantastic episode! It was cool to see Nunu in that montage, and great to see Hurley having individual scenes with so many important characters, several of whom we haven't seen in a long time. I'm troubled by your hints of "housecleaning," but I guess I've gotta expect that... This week was certainly unexpectedly explosive.
I was very excited until I clicked the link and read the title "Jorge Garcia Blogs About Lost’s Final Hurley-Centric Episode". Final! *sob*
But on a happier note, kudos to a great performance! I am just loving the depth of Hurley's character this season. The writers have done a great job and you, Jorge, have been acting your butt off.
Hey Hugo! When I found out last night that it was going to be your episode,I was so ecstatic. I was at college and my roommate was going to watch GLEE, so that meant no LOST:( But once I found out that it was your episode...I took the bus home just so I could watch LOST!
So glad I did, because you did a great job and LOVED the episode!
Hi Jorge and Beth and Nunu. I saw you Nunu, you tiny scene stealer. hehe Loved your centric episode Jorge. It had it all, got me crying, gasping, laughing and in shock (Des running down Locke). Going to rewatch it again tonight without the stress I get with each new episode on the first time through. I was wondering if you and Beth will be moving back to LA when Lost is finished? Take care, hugs to you three, Arlie/Pen2
But then, I've admired your acting chops from the beginning.
Interestingly (and to your credit to no small degree) Hurley is probably the only character on Lost that I've consistently loved. The others have all managed to frustrate or infuriate me at some point.
Perhaps you are The One. We'll see soon enough...sigh.
BTW -- you cut quite a dashing figure in that suit. I'm just sayin...
Love, love, love last night's episode!! Was that little Nunu in the philanthropy montage? Such a cutie!!! :) Also, loving the bread making updates!!! I can't cook well, but I can bake, and I am being inspired to branch out from sweets, into breads!! :)
loved seeing Nunu in the episode - it was like a special present for folks who read your blog. Very sad to read that it is the last Hurley-centric episode.
Im a huge fan, and have really enjoyed your character on "Lost" I agree you made the character believable. I have followed your career for a long time, and am glad you are a successful person, you deserve it!
I saw Nunu!!!! Was that really your baby pic too? I knew Alana was going to blow up, but still jumped when it happened LOL So much going on.....can't wait for next week!!
I loved last night's episode--especially the part with "Libby" and how Hugo remembered everything. Just had to tell you though, your hair was beautiful, too--I loved the ringlets next to your face. I wish I had hair like that--mine is stick-straight. Gonna miss you and all the other islanders. :)
As soon as I saw the pic flash up I yelled to my hubby that was your Nunu!! he thinks I'm a bigger dork for knowing it :P 'housecleaning' - so gonna cry.........
Judging by the comments here, there must have been a collective shout of "NUNU!!" all over the world! Tell me my husband didn't look at me like I'd lost all touch with reality ;)
well, I noticed the "wet" misspelling, but thought it would be rude to point it out...(English Major/writer here):)
But my big question is: aren't the editors of PEOPLE supposed to EDIT their contributors for such things? What are they getting paid for, and how can I get that job?
That was a great guest blog! Well done, you totally wet my appetite with the "housecleaning" but I'm on the edge of my seat b/c you didn't give too much away. : ) I totally noticed Nunu! In fact I yelled NUNU! lol Everybody Loves Hugo was really a great episode kudos. I'm heading over to Geronimo Jack's Beard now
I've been looking through the site mentioned above....boy, if I could afford it, I'd buy all of the LOST ones. (Note to Beth: these would make great stocking stuffers for Jorge next Christmas!)
Everyone does love Hugo! Great episode! So sad the journey is ending. Hope to see you in the future. Of course, you are negotiating a series for Nunu as well, right? Move over Lassie, Perdita, and Lady...it's Nunu!

your episode was SO GOOD last night!! i'm so sad its ending soon!
I saw her - even pointed her out to my husband!!
ReplyDeleteDoes Nunu have a big ego now that she's a TV star? Is she sending her pawprint out on glossy headshots? ;)
ReplyDeleteSaw the show last night. Excellent work old boy! You really are quite good at your craft. Do really like chicken that much in real life?
ReplyDeleteTake care
Great blog post - and I loved last night's episode!! I'm so sad that in a few short weeks, there won't be any more new episodes to look forward to...
ReplyDeleteGreat blog post! It is just starting to sink in that there are only a few more new episodes left to the series - sure am going to miss my weekly Lost "fix"!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome article!

ReplyDeleteBugger! I can't read it! I'm watching this season on my DVR, & I'm 3 shows away from catching up! I need to put in some serious Lost-time! :)
ReplyDeleteloved Loved LOVED your episode!! When watching with my husband I said "A picnic on the beach & he remembered the blanket!!" before my husband could finish saying "Are you going to cry?", I was in tears. Such a sweet scene.

I was very excited until I clicked the link and read the title "Jorge Garcia Blogs About Lost’s Final Hurley-Centric Episode". Final! *sob*
ReplyDeleteBut on a happier note, kudos to a great performance! I am just loving the depth of Hurley's character this season. The writers have done a great job and you, Jorge, have been acting your butt off.

ReplyDeleteI did notice that was Nunu!! I actually blurted at the screen, "Hey, it's Nunu!"
ReplyDeleteAdded you to my blog list, Jorge. Hope you don't mind.
Hey Hugo! When I found out last night that it was going to be your episode,I was so ecstatic. I was at college and my roommate was going to watch GLEE, so that meant no LOST:( But once I found out that it was your episode...I took the bus home just so I could watch LOST!

Tell Nunu hello for me!

ReplyDeleteHi Jorge and Beth and Nunu.
ReplyDeleteI saw you Nunu, you tiny scene stealer. hehe
Loved your centric episode Jorge. It had it all, got me crying, gasping, laughing and in shock (Des running down Locke).

Great interview! I love that episode!
ReplyDeleteHave you seen this yet? It's so cute!

They have almost all the Lost characters, including Jacob!
Nicely done! As was your work on last night's ep.
ReplyDeleteBut then, I've admired your acting chops from the beginning.
During the opening we certainly noticed/identified Nunu! She did great, wasn't even chewing on things!
ReplyDeleteMy first thought when I saw Nunu: "isn't that Jorge Garcia's dog?"
ReplyDeletethen: "I am a giant nerd for knowing that."
great ep though!
Love, love, love last night's episode!! Was that little Nunu in the philanthropy montage? Such a cutie!!! :) Also, loving the bread making updates!!! I can't cook well, but I can bake, and I am being inspired to branch out from sweets, into breads!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that Nunu was in your episode!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I wanted to ask if that really was a Nunu cameo, and it was! Cute. ^_^
ReplyDeleteloved seeing Nunu in the episode - it was like a special present for folks who read your blog. Very sad to read that it is the last Hurley-centric episode.
ReplyDeleteHey Jorge,
ReplyDeleteIm a huge fan, and have really enjoyed your character on "Lost" I agree you made the character believable. I have followed your career for a long time, and am glad you are a successful person, you deserve it!
Cool! I wondered if that was Nunu!
ReplyDeleteOMG Nunu is a true TV Star now! My husband thought that I was a freak because I knew that :)
ReplyDeleteWhen Nunu came on my daughter & I yelled "Nunu"! My husband thought we were both losing it! Great episode....enjoyed it thoroughly....Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI saw Nunu!!!! Was that really your baby pic too? I knew Alana was going to blow up, but still jumped when it happened LOL So much going on.....can't wait for next week!!
ReplyDeleteYou look badass in the braid pic!
ReplyDeleteNot to be a dick, but it's "whet", not "wet" when speaking about reporter's appetites... still, thanks for the great read!
ReplyDeleteI loved last night's episode--especially the part with "Libby" and how Hugo remembered everything. Just had to tell you though, your hair was beautiful, too--I loved the ringlets next to your face. I wish I had hair like that--mine is stick-straight. Gonna miss you and all the other islanders. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought that was your dog! That's so cool that she was able to share your workday...who came up with the idea to use her in the episode?
ReplyDeleteTrish in NorCal
I immediately noticed Nunu...That was so cool!
ReplyDeleteAlso not to be a dick but as far as the "whet appetite" thing goes: isn't that something that People should have caught and corrected?
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw the pic flash up I yelled to my hubby that was your Nunu!! he thinks I'm a bigger dork for knowing it :P
ReplyDelete'housecleaning' - so gonna cry.........

I was SO excited to see Nunu on TV! My husband and I were watching and I shouted, "NUNU!!" :)
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed the episodes, and seeing you work again with the characters of Libby and Michael.
ReplyDeleteWhen a B'way show I worked on for 5 years closed, it was the strangest sensation, those last few weeks.
We used to joke, in the early months after, that we even missed the people we didn't like.
Your dog is adorable, but you knew that already.
Best wishes.
Alright nerds. I let TV guide know about the typo and they are on it.
ReplyDeleteThat was a great guest blog! Well done, you totally wet my appetite with the "housecleaning" but I'm on the edge of my seat b/c you didn't give too much away. : )

Um, Jorge...isn't the misspelling with PEOPLE Magazine, and not TV Guide...? Or am I confused...?
ReplyDeleteEveryone does love Hugo! Great episode! So sad the journey is ending. Hope to see you in the future.
ReplyDeleteOf course, you are negotiating a series for Nunu as well, right? Move over Lassie, Perdita, and Lady...it's Nunu!
My dog looks just like Nunu!! Her name is Mia and they could be twins! lol
ReplyDeleteI totally loved this Hugo centric episode... :) and it was odd also for me watching you not wearing a pajamas in Santa Rosa shot!! :)
ReplyDelete
