I dunno man, I think I'ld stick with the fro. I'm just saying. If I saw you in a dark alley looking like that, I'ld be out of there quicker than bacon through a lab monkey!
Had my hair put in cornrows in Jamaica. One of the most painful things this side of labor. Love it that you are a plant daddy. Nothing like throwing some seeds in dirt & waiting for the miracle.
At the risk of Miss Beth coming all the way to Florida to kick my butt, I didn't think there was anything that could make you look more handsome than you already are. But those Cornrows... Outstanding and sexy.
I have loved have seen the photo of its "Nunu" in Lost! The episode in your character Hugo was great! transmits emotion... The scene of mutual love between you and Libby was pretty. My fondness always for you, Kiss!
I like the cornrows. Looks good on you. I have a daughter with hair like yours and it gets to be such a tangled mess. I had to try little braids (not enough hair for cornrows myself) in Jamaica and I have to say it was the ultimate in low maintenance hair, especially on a vacation.
And as an aside, I've really loved how the Hurley character has grown during this season. The entire cast has really been bringing their A game all season but I think you in particular are standing out, partially because you've been given more challenging scenes but mostly because you've risen to the challenge and your performance has been top notch.
Each episode leaves me simultaneously more excited for the next and more sad that it's coming to an end. At the risk of further sounding like a suck up, reading your blog has made the experience feel all the more personal.
As mentioned, it feels like the last year of high school and like I'm signing your yearbook or something :) but I genuinely hope that you'll keep up the blog. It's been an honor and a pleasure to get the extra little glimpse into your life. Thank you for that. I hope we continue to see your career thrive as well.
You so duped us! Here I was thinking it was for LOST and couldn't understand what situation would require you to get cornrows!!! :-) I like the cornrows on you.
Aloha Jorge's Hairs! How do you live there, on his head!???
Jorge, earlier when I entered in fanmail.biz, I have seen- that all -you, cast of Lost live on Grass skirts Productions...Hawaii, but now, if I would want to send envelope to other actors from this great show, I need to write on this address:
Jorge Garcia "Lost" Touchstone Television 500 South Buena Vista Production Building #343 Burbank, CA 91521 USA
it's true!??? It's your new address for fan mail??
I also think this is a subliminal message that in the next Star Trek you will be playing a Klingon, perhaps Worf's Grandfather. Yes I can see it now, you swinging a Bat'leth singing 'Heghlu'meH QaQ jajvam.' How does the Klingon name Zednanreh grab you?
Jorge, tell me the truth, is this you? ---> http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/141/l_649cf89306b84bd9b6bdb3c472e1edee.jpg http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/131/l_4257ffb2cb344765a1c054282f3c715e.jpg those pictures were taken in buenos aires... if it's not you, it's your clon o.O please answer me!!
I stumbled upon Plants vs. Zombies and got hooked! But I hate the pool in the backyard and I need to earn more water plants for my Zen garden. Any suggestions other than tangleweed?
You rock the cornrows pretty well, Jorge! I really appreciated your comments in the Complex interview about the trials of growing out curly hair. I finally got to the ponytail stage a couple months ago, and it was a big relief. I'm cutting it off next month for Locks of Love, though. I blogged about my frustration: http://tinyurl.com/39aj27e.
Man, you kinda look like John Belushi on that first pic...

ReplyDeleteOkay, what did I miss? I clicked on the link but I still didn't see an explanation for the cornrows.
ReplyDeleteLove your blog, especially the Nunu pictures:) It's nice to see the island up close and personal

ReplyDeleteLight straight up gangsta. Mad props, Jorge. You are like 108% more cooler than you originally were. Stay black, homie.

ReplyDelete@ Suzie-Q: I didn't get it either.
ReplyDelete...and actually, the video won't play for me. I get the ad before the video, but the actual video doesn't load. Dunno if I'm alone in that or not.
Plants v Zombies rules. Nothing gets by my Tall Nuts.
ReplyDeletehehehe, sitting on the porch, getting your hair done and in the back they are playing snoop...good one and what an explosive episode 12, loved it!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Suzie-Q. I went to the linked article, but still have no idea what the cornrows were for.

OK - I was totally hoping to see you wearing cornrows on the last episode. AND I loved seeing Nunu :)
ReplyDeleteI like them. I like the fro too, but it's cool to mix it up.
Ooh! You were sportin' cornrows, huh? I've definitely got to check that out. Thanks for sharing, Jorge.

Jorge - you like to cook. I LOVE to cook, too! I want to have a Lost season finale party, what would you recommend to make?
ReplyDeleteso is that why your hair was so curly and wavy in a couple of the latest episodes? due to the braids and then taking them out?
ReplyDeletei have to say...the complex pic? hot.
ReplyDelete(in a nice way. as a v. happily married woman. i clicked, and thought, "woah...hot!")
:)

ReplyDeleteCornrows look like they would give you a badass headache.
ReplyDeleteJuan Martin: Not me.
ReplyDeleteThat's just it, the cornrows were for the article. He wanted to shoot me as a callback to the "Gin and Juice" video.
ReplyDelete:p I still don't get the corn rows other than some how it relates to.... you liking rap?
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteI like the corn rows - but I hear pain ful - so good for you to do it... saw this today --- wanted to share incase somehow you didn't see them...

Miss SC, just don't miss the OC.

ReplyDeleteSam, save your money and buy that cat tails that go on the lilly pads. They are great against Zombies in the pool as well as balloon zombies.
