oh beth we are kindred...my grandmother used to make the worlds best pound cake ever..and she would take it out of the oven before the center was done and my cousins and i would fight light animals to get to eat the center of it with a spoon..it was all doughy pudden' like ...i still like the centers of all cakes..ha
SO DO I! I have been known to rip the crust off bread. And I drive my coworkers crazy when we eat breakfast together... I eat the middle of the pancakes and leave the ring of edges on the plate! One time they cut up the edges into bite size pieces in an effort to disguise the ring so the waitress wouldn't think we were all weird. I just like the fluffy parts better I guess. ;)
C'mon be honest - its the criminal who always reports the crime. :)
P.S. I was going to mention the American Pie movie where Eugene Levy (Jim's Dad) is having that conversation with his son Jim over the ruined apple pie - but I know this blog is to high class.
Oh Lol! MeRRy Chrissy~mas you two <3
ReplyDeletePerhaps you could cut all the edges off for her or at least make perforations in the middle so she doesn't have to dig....
ReplyDeleteI hope that was Beth and not the monster/rat/mouse thing that got to those...;)

ReplyDeleteNo, the corners are best!!
ReplyDeleteLOL def spoiled, as a girl should be ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, it's already obvious Beth knows what the good stuff is. She has a great man and a great dog.

ReplyDeleteIf you like the edges its a perfect combination. We had to buy my sister a special pan that makes only edge brownies. Very fancy.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays my man!
ReplyDeleteYeah, my father-in-law doesn't eat "end" pieces. He was an only child. :P
ReplyDeleteYou need one of these.
ReplyDeleteMy 6'7" BIL is the same way.
ReplyDeleteAfter the crap you put her through with the whole rat incident, you should bake her at least one cake a day to eat the middle out of!!!
ReplyDeleteShe's worth it.
ReplyDeleteBeth did that? LOL. Looks like the rat came back for a snack.
ReplyDeleteThat rhymes. Heh.
Have a great holiday!
Lol. Not spoiled. Just knows what she likes.
ReplyDeleteWe would get along well - I only eat the edges.
I'm more of a corner guy...
ReplyDeleteI don't blame her- the middle is the best part!!
ReplyDeleteYou sure it wasn't Nunu instead of Beth who ate the middles out of those?
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't :-)
ReplyDeleteI can't help but notice, there is one light and one dark.
ReplyDeleteDepends upon what it is. Sometimes I prefer the corners or end pieces
ReplyDeleteJorge... (laughing) that's not being spoiled...that's just being "particular" about things!
ReplyDeleteOnly two words: American pie.
ReplyDeleteHappy holidays!
I like her style. The middle is the best part, and that doesn't apply to just cake either!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I like the middles too, there is just something nice about not having edges. Do you like the muffin tops?
ReplyDeleteJorge,

Hummmm tasty!
ReplyDeleteBethy prefers only the middles and you eat the rest, right?
Hahaha XD
