Octopi are awesome, especially when deep fried. You know what else is awesome? You and Beth's jack-o-lanterns from last year. Any chance you would be willing to post a Pumpkin Carving Tutorial this year? You know, in all your spare time? I like to plan ahead.
Ah, tako (Octopus in Japanese)! I learned to love it while there, and thought the best way --though not the healthiest way--was quickly deep fried in tempura batter. MMMM!!! My daughters also love it this way. Can't find it like that here in NC. Enjoy!
You know I appreciate that pic because I'm doing the master cleanse and have not really eaten in 4 days... Your picture just helped me go another day! YOU ROCK JORGE!
I had octopus & calamari in 7th grade. One of the little sucker things got stuck in my teeth. Never forgot the chewiness. That's actually one of the things I miss from the pre-vegetarian days.
Jorge!!! You're amazing. Sé que sabes hablar español, así que como mi inglés es difícil de entender, te escribo en mi idioma. Octopus...ja,ja muy buena la entrada. Espero que no te haya importado que te haya escrito! Tú " tío " en la serie, es genial, igual que tú. Lots of love! See ya
I had arroz negro in Spain. I didn't find out until later that it is colored with squid ink. Hmm...it did have small squids in it, but I've never eaten octopus.
I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future. Please come visit my site Idaho when you got time.

Oh gosh! That looks disgusting...octopus is something I don't think I could ever make myself put in my mouth. haha
Really? You chose to eat that?
It looks like something Jeff Probst would put in front of the survivors in competition.
You are a brave, brave man.
Jaja, pulpito pulpito!
Eeek!
Why are people so grossed out about octopus? If it's prepared right, it can be quite tasty.
Everything about that salad looks wonderful except for the octopus. What on earth possessed you to order that?

I love octopus salad - ate it all the time when I was living in Italy. Yummy.
Jorge,
Is that not a calamari salad? I realize calamari is a 'squid;'

I concur. It is chewy. And that second photo is excellent.
Yikes! My mom found an octopus in her seafood chowder one time - freaked her out...
My 15 year old daughter loves octopus. But would gag over the salad. Go figure.
