Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze
It means no worries for the rest of your days, It's our problem-free philosophy, Hakuna Matata.

That reminded me of Lion King so now I have that song in my head. P.S. If anyone doesn't like this song or lion king I will fight you, jk. But it's good.

  14. You must fly often.

Have any other passengers freaked out and checked their ticket stub for flight "815" or "316" when they saw you on their flight?

  15. Jorge, this post is so boaring...ahem...I thank you!

  16. They looked exactly the same. So, I'm thinking - "There's a story here!"....and being the geek that I am, I found this:

  21. Unrelated to your post... I just saw your Bonnie Hunt appearance. That was a fun watch. I liked the reveal of you and Fox not being able to look at each other. And who knew Emerson used to be a gardner, too? Wow!

  28. I like the one the hassled Sawyer better. :-)

  29. Dude, we had the exact same boar near my college campus, except he had water gushing out of his mouth. Most directions started with "Make a right at the Puking Pig..."

    ReplyDelete
  30. We've got one here in Victoria, too. If you're ever here in beautiful British Columbia, you should come rub its snout! They say it's good luck. Why they say that, I've got no idea!

    ReplyDelete
  49. I see there's another Victoria person reading your blog! I was going to mention the one we have here too, at Butchardt Gardens....but I somehow thought it was a bull, not a boar.
It was metal and I rubbed it's nose, that much I'm sure of...lol

  50. Hope you are both having a great time.

    ReplyDelete
  51. We have a bunch of those here in central Texas, but ours bite!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. dude, when were you in Florence? I've lived here for almost two years and spend every Thursday morning gettin' LOST on iTunes. I walk by that boar daily.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hey, Jorge! I'm glad to see you're having fun in Europe. You know where you'd have even more fun? Right here in Brazil, particularly now that it's not so hot and you can actually enjoy the sun and not run away from it like we do during the summer.

Anyways, I kind of have a favor to ask.

I'm a senior in college, Journalism major. I'm graduating in December and to do that I have to write a research paper about communication/journalism. It can be about anything as long as it relates to my major. So I chose to do my research about media convergence (you know, how every media - audio, video, text, internet - can be found in one place) and the impact that has on how you watch tv shows nowadays.

So I'm going to talk about that and I'm going to use Lost as my case study, because one, I'm a hardcore fan, and two, the show has one of the biggest - if not THE biggest - online fanbases out there. So people watch it through the most creative ways: downloading the eps, streaming, watching it over and over again to catch the easter eggs and stuff.

The reason I'm boring you with all this is because I need to write about the history of the show and that's not just what happens in the episodes. I wish it was that easy. It involves a lot of aspects of the show, from how it was originally thought out to distribution around the world. So it's a lot to cover. I've already emailed ABC and even the Lost Podcast thing because it would be great to be able to talk to someone who's been on the show from the beginning, you know? It doesn't have to be Damon or Carlton. I'm well aware that would be next to impossible.

But I would be more than glad to talk to anyone, really. I had a chance to interview Evangeline Lilly a couple of years ago - she promised me an interview and gave me her publicist's contact info and everything but it never happened. I doubt she would even remember me if I tried to contact her now, so I thought I could ask you to help me. I know it's a long shot, but I thought, hey why not? The worst that could happen is that I'll get a no.

So if maybe you could talk to someone from the show, plead my case if it's not too much trouble and maybe get some contact info from any of the producers, I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks a lot in advance! And I love you on the show, man. You rock!

    Luci

  55. hehehe. Well if I travel to Munich i won't forget visiting that boar, fuck the museums and that stuff, hehe

    Take care Jorge

  56. I love these coincidences too!
I saw you in the El Hormiguero Show but I don't think it was that funny at all, not because of you, of course, but because of the guys.
On the other hand I saw someother interview made in a weird and very loud space, like a sports center or so, also in Spain/spanish, that seemed very much fun to me and other people I have talked to.
I also liked that you could remember so many spanish cities names where you had been as a student, with your class, as you said in the second interview.

Congratulations, I love your blog. It is very fun, direct and honest. I also like your work as an actor too.

  61. Recently discovered your blog and enjoyed reading all your entries over the w/e, Jorge. I think it's great that you're so accessible to your fans and any "passing traffic" such as me who thinks all the more of you for your efforts (it de-mystifys the whole "celebrity" thing a little too - no bad thing!).

Anyway, keep posting and I'll keep reading. Have a great birthday tomorrow too (mine's on Thursday, but you're somewhat younger than me)! If your travels ever bring you to Liverpool, the first beer's on me :-)

So I thought you might be interested in seeing today's drawing (and by God I sure hope imdb.com and wikipedia have the age and date right and didn't make a fool out of me)!

  101. There's also a boar at the Viansa winery in Sonoma, CA.

"They also have sculptures throughout the garden and one in particular was very interesting. It was a statue of a boar, which according to the caption was originally commissioned by the Medici family in Florence more than 350 years ago. After years of wear from people rubbing the boar’s nose for good luck, it needed to be replaced. They took a mold of the original, made the necessary repairs and cast a new statue which stands in Florence today. Immediately after casting that boar, they made another casting which is the one which sits at Viansa today."

  102. Hi Jorge,

I'm from Victoria, British Columbia (Canada) and we have the same boar statue here in our world famous Butchart Gardens. Here is a link to some guy's travel shots of him with it:

    http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2379105050046209414kczJSb

Sorry the guy's not as cute as you but it's the best shot of the boar I could find! I wonder if we should flip them over to reveal the "made in China" stamp on the underside...There seem to be alot of them out there!

    Love the blog!
