LAST DAY OF SCHOOL

Well folks. Assuming the two units finish everything on the schedule. And assuming that nothing accidentally goes through the x-ray machine at the airport. And nothing has to be re-shot next week after everything clears the lab...

Today is the last day of shooting on Season Four of LOST. (Whew!) We made it.

  1. OMG! Nooooooooo...

That means we're that much closer to the scary eight month hiatus.

    *sigh*

  2. Schooool's out for the summer! Schooool's out forEVER!

Or at least until production starts again. Congrats on a super-excellent season!

  3. SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER......SCHOOLS OUT FOREVER!

Now I'll have that song stuck in my head...... Congrats on being done with a great season and may I add that in the last few episodes your performances were spectacular! You have given Hurley such depth as a character. The scene in the mental hospital with Jack was very heartfelt. Can't wait to see what the next few episodes have in store for us - enjoy your break!

  7. @kara - wow, my first day on the blog and I'm already finding great minds that think like me

@daryl - that's what i was thinking. like didn't the podcast just say that the season finale starts next week?

  8. I've never been so conflicted about a TV show before. Ever. I want it to end, because I NEED TO HAVE ANSWERS, but at the same time, I never want it to end because I love it!! Unlike my Moonlighting and Golden Girls DVDs, this show isn't the same to watch over and over. All the fun is finding out the answers. It's also what makes my hair turn silver. *sigh*

  9. What a fantastic season, I cannot wait for the finale over the next few weeks (we get to see "Papa Cheech" again, right?). Also, I hope that "happy Hurley" comes back soon, because he is so morbid (future Hurley) - nice moment sharing the Appolo bar with Ben (kinda of an homage to the Matrix 'Oreo' scene?) meh - I digress - keep up the great work Jorge - and yeah, you mention 'poop' alot, but as it is well known - everyone poops.

  10. Time to have fun!

I like how Ben got Hurley to do something for him without him having to say anything, like he was trying to tell Locke before. He wanted some of that Apollo bar and Hurley hooked him up without Ben having to ask, it was all in his eyes. Great stuff, but I wonder if Hurley was doing it because he wanted to or because Ben wanted it.

4.12 and 4.13 are going to kick some serious ass!

You can hear that, right? Wonderful season Jorge.

  12. I'm with Chrissy - this show is the biggest tease EVER. I can't stand it how much I love it and I want to know but I don't want to know....

    I think I'm in love.

  13. Congrats to the whole cast! You guys have really been on the top of your game this season, and you can tell the rest of them I said that. You, in particular, have really been knocking things out of the park, especially as Crazy!Hurley, so I can't wait to see the rest. :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Congrats! Enjoy the time off (and, hopefully, a poop-free garden, during that time)!

*rubs hands in glee* I get extended fun, as Season 4 premieres in French next week, in Canada! No 8 months hiatus for moi!

  16. And today is the last day of the week here at my office. Soooo exciting ;)

At least I was working abroad during the last two weeks, so I have the last two episodes saved in my tivo for tonight!

  17. Nooooooo!!!! I'm hyperventilating. You can't leave the island...you can't finish filming season 4, I won't allow it!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Can't wait to see the rest!

Hope you enjoy your break :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Congrats on such an exciting season! Can't wait to see how it closes.

    Enjoy your summer break!

  20. I think Season 4 will go down as the best Season since Season 1. Congrats to you and your crew for making such a quality product.

  21. I'm already sad about the end of the season and it's not even here yet for us viewers! I can't wait to see what you've done for the finale.

    Congratulations on ending the season!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm sure it's nice for you to get a break but it makes me sad! I don't want it to end!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Take care. Have fun and all that.

I can't wait until the next season so maybe I return to read. *LOL*

I hope that doesn't mean that you'll take vacations from the blog too.

  24. A friend linked me to your blog, which I opened and then had to leave to attend to the crying baby. My 3 year old got to the computer (she knows how to click and scroll - kids these days!) and said
"Mommy! Princesses... Mommy - Toys!! Mommy! - BUGS!!"

Confused, I came running to make sure she wasn't downloading things or deleting files.

Sure enough, all three items were on your blog! My daughter was thoroughly entertained.

I did have to put in 'Toy Story' to appease her - damn those Disney apples, they worked!

  25. Congratulations on getting through the filming of Season 4! You and your fellow actors have been fantastic in conveying the awesome story of LOST given to you by the writers and producers. Your scene with Michael Emerson and the Apollo Bar was so poignant, Jorge! It said so much with no dialog.

Hope you do a lot of posting this summer!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Congrats on a great season! Your character is my absolute favorite! Enjoy your break -even though we won't enjoy it... :(

    ReplyDelete
  27. I just have to say one thing Jorge. Last night, I almost past out from laughing...

Handing Locke a bottle of water-
"Here you go. Drink up, dude. Digging through dead bodies takes it out of you."

    ReplyDelete
  28. Duh, forgot to say - Congrats on a fantastic season. Some of my favorite moments this season have been Hurley moments. You are a wonderful actor Jorge. Enjoy your time off & have fun in your garden...watch where you step..LOL! Say no to poop! Hehehe

    ReplyDelete
  29. Wow, I am so torn! Ecstatic for you and the colleagues for the crazy and fantastic season, and so happy you get a real, scheduled break now. And so sad that the season is coming to an end.

It's been awesome though, and from you as Hurley have RULED! You are in fine form at work, bringing this character out in ways we never imagined. I feel like it's the Hurley show now, and what a treat that is! So funny, so full of surpises.

BRAVO this year. Every year you bring it all out, but this year you brought it straight out into the stratosphere! THANKS!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Mahalo for another excellent season! Acting-wise it was one of your best! You have grown so much over the years. I loved that scene with Ben and the candy bar... the fine acting and nuances from you and Michael Emerson are what nailed it!

I hope you enjoy your break. Do I see more traveling in your future? Take lots of pics for the blog!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Jorge,
What's next? Any projects you're working on this summer? Or just relaxing before the next season cranks up?

    ReplyDelete
  32. As a teacher I understand your need for summer break - I too am counting the days! I hope you enjoy your much deserved break. My mind is going to need a rest after the recent episodes. You have played your character superiorly this year. Congratulations. Thanks for sharing your art with us.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I started watching the show for the first time back in January when ABC put all the episodes online, and I was all caught up by this season's premiere. I don't know how I'm going to make it through this long break!

Congrats to you and everyone else involved with the show on what you've accomplished, this season as well as in the previous three. The whole package--the writing, the acting, the music, the set, etc.--is amazing. And BTW, you were just heartbreaking in that scene at the hospital last week! Enjoy your vacation.

  35. aw, kind of makes me sad! Two more weeks and the dreaded hiatus! Last year's hiatus was painful :-(

Like some of the others have commented (haha I just caught that! the others ^_^) in one way, I want the end to come so I find out what the hell is really going on, but on the other hand *sniff*, tv will never be the same!

    ReplyDelete
  36. So this is it for the summer ??? That means the season will soon be over...*sigh* Anyway, looking forward to more poop and gardening blogs then, LOL.
I just saw the latest epi last night, and it left me with even more questions and even more confused - cant wait for next weeks epi.... Anyway, tell the cast that they are all great and you all have a wonderful relaxing break.

  37. This is bound to be the most memorable Lost season ever! Let me tell you, with all the respect as an actor that you deserve, in the last 2 episodes that aired (Something Nice Back Home and Cabin Fever) you were terrific. The scene in Santa Rosa gave us a completly messed up Hurley, with such an excellency in acting and the scene with Michael Emerson (the chocolate bar scene) was priceless! Really can't wait to see the finale!

Sorry for my english, not my primary language.

    Greetings from Portugal,

    Inês

  38. And what a heckuva wonderful season it was, seems like just yesterday we were all going on about your great performance in that first episode! But I think the 8 month break will be easier to take because of your blog :)

    ReplyDelete
  39. NOOOOOOO!!! lol Well I know you guys need a break. And I just ordered Season four on Amazon. Looking for to the next season.

  42. Season four has been absolutely fantastic. Everyone has been overdoing themselves and I have a feeling that next Tursday-- the shit is going to hit the fan. (Oops. I hope there wasn't a "no caca" rule implemented in your blog after the past few updates).

    ReplyDelete
  45. Man, that depresses me. Sure, you are probably happy, but at least you have an idea of what is going on. =(

Oh well, you guys have worked hard. Maybe on your vacation you could come visit me in Ellensburg, WA. Look me up! =)

    ReplyDelete
  46. have you guys ever really had to reshoot scenes because they were damaged by x-ray? boy would my face be red if i was responsible for that little gaffe...

  47. I can't handle not having "Lost" in my life. Please tell your bosses.

On the assumption that they cannot tape the show 24/7/365 forever then maybe you can arrange to have this season's boxed set of DVDs to come out on my birthday in October again. Anything that allows me to justify spending money would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  48. Enjoy your vacation and congrats for your great job, "cabin fever" and "The shape of things to come" were great but I didn't enjoy this season so much because Sawyer was almost disappeared and I love him...anyway I love the show and I'm going to watch the finale just in case Sawyer is going to have something good finally.

    But... wait I will! :)

  52. Jorge,

Your my favourite actor on that show, and I'm not afraid to say it!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I hve to say that I agree with the guy who said you're my favorite on the show. I'm so happy Hurley makes it off the island.
The other one liked was Mr. Eko. I loved his style of acting. I was sorry to see him killed off.
Lost has to be one of my favorite shows of all time. Just when you think you have something figured out they throw you for a loop.
I'm going to HATE it when the show is on hiatus.

I love the show each night I start to watch an episode and by the end and the cliffhanger I hate it all over again. What an addiction!!

What a fantastic season, Jorge. You KNOW as long as I have been your fan that I love ya', mucho y mas y siempre. So forgive my pitiful Spanish if it sucks.

I hope I haven't missed your last post for awhile~~~~my mother was in the hospital out of the city and it was kinda hairy for a few days.
