Oh yeah! I really like that movie too! Though it was called The Boat that Rocked here in the UK! I enjoyed it but I don't think it was the movie that made me smile most- that was probably Up! :)
To be honest I thought the plot was somewhat lacking, but I didn't care when I was watching it because it was such fun and the cast is all so good. Glad the US finally gets to see it!
Funny, here in Iceland It's called The Boat That Rocked, never seen it though.
But anyway i know this is probably the wrong place to do this but does anyone know how i could send Jorge a email with pictures, my mom and dad bought this autographed picture of him in a store called Heroes Memorabilia and i wanted to see if It's really his autograph :)
Hey Jorge, you should check out this fan made band called The Oceanic Six. They just did a song about Hurley! http://www.myspace.com/theoceanicsixmusic
Haven't seen it yet...Thanks Man for sharing...I'll definately check it out! One of the funniest movies I have seen all year was "Trailer Park Boys - CountDown to Liquor Day." ...that kept me laughin the whole way thru...I never knew what was going to happen next...fun stuff!!
I have been admiring your blog for a while now and just decided to sign up to post some stuff. I was thinking about seeing this movie but I hadn't heard anything about it before so thanks for the recommendation! Anyways, great to know you care for your fans!!
movies that make me smile is exactly what I need. I just watched "Humboldt County", which I thought would be awesome because I live there so I can relate, but it just made me sob for about an hour... so uh... mission failed.
Thanks for the recommendation, I will check it out. Also the Trailer Park Boys suggested by KoRoBaRo. The movie where I laughed a lot was Zombieland. You should check it out, especially since you are a big Zombiehunter yourself.
I saw this on it's april release in Belfast Northern Ireland and have been waiting for it's release over here to drag all my friends to. I have never smiled so much in a movie theater!
I sat there watching this film, knowing so much of it was PURE CHEESE. Yet, I didn't care. I was totally into it. That's good film-making! Something about it had the feel of one of those classic and lovable, character-based 1980's comedy movies, like Stripes or Weird Science.

It does look like a cute flick! Maybe I'll have to check it out, if I can find the time in the next few weeks!
I loved this one too! Excellent! :)
but why ?
Jorge,
That looks interesting. The last movie I watched in a theatre might have been Dodgeball! I still love that classic dialogue between Vince Vaughn (Pete LaFleur) and Ben Stiller (Whitey) where it ends up with LaFleur finally saying ‘alright’ and Whitey after a momentary pause says “touché!” All time classic!
Was Philip Seymour Hoffman actually trying? I'm worried he phoned it in by playing Lester Bangs (though that performance kicked ass)

Hell yes... I agree.
Then I must see it! I've heard a couple other recommendations too, but yours really tips the balance!
You are so right. I saw this last weekend & as soon as I got home I posted on Facebook telling everyone they should go see it. Really liked it a lot.
i cannot wait to see it, it's out already? Was Phillip Seymour Hoffman good in it? It's hard for me to imagine him in a comedic role...
Anything with Emma Thompson and Bill Nighy in it is okay by me!! I love love love Love Actually.
I'm really looking forward to seeing this one. Glad to hear it was good!

Couldn't agree more! I called it, "The Feel Good Movie of the Year" over at my site. You can read the review here: http://wp.me/pyaVJ-kZ
I knew I had to see it when I saw the bands on the soundtrack. Love that music.
Now come to my store and buy my products. Just Kidding, it's easy enough to ignore the spammers, most of the time.
I love your recommends...can't wait to check it out!
I smiled until my cheeks hurt!
I just saw "The Blind Side" yesterday, and it put a smile on my face. I think it will yours too, if you check it out!
I thought it looked great, so I guess I will have to see it now that you recommeded it!!
