Happy Halloween: Pumpkins

Halloween was great.

I carved two more pumpkins today.
I took this one from the cover of the Mutter Museum book.

And then my proudest pumpkin to date: Bat Boy

I'm impressed, especially since you said you tried freehanding this year and not stencils. That's really good work.

Who says Jack-O-Lanterns are only for Halloween?!!

How many kids did you get?

We only had 15 come to our door and 4 of those were university students collecting for their annual Halloween Food Bank drive.

Love the bat boy! Did you know there's a musical based on the story? If you ever have the chance, you should go.

if this is freehand, you should be really proud of yourself. geez louise. i tried to carve a tree freehand with a moon in the background, and the moon ended up so big that as the pumpkin started to decay, it looked as if the whole thing was being sucked into the vacuum-moon.

your enthusiasm for halloween has made me excited about checking your blog this week. what did you end up dressing up as? did you wear the plants v zombies mask when the kids came around?

If you haven't, you should definitely find the time to visit Philadelphia and it's Mutter Museum. It's crazy weird. Based on the fact that you have a Mutter Museum book, I think you would really enjoy yourself.

Concerning a later post, you can't wait for Jan. 12? The rest of us can't wait for Feb. and Lost to start up again! I guess we shouldn't wish our lives away...but still!
