It's just amazing: No matter in which situation you are filmed or photographed: You always look friendly, content, sympathetic, and good-natured. There are so many frowning faces out there and it lifts my heart just to look at good-humoured Jorge. Thanks for sharing this with us :)
LOL - my daughter just did this in Aruba. It's not easy to sit there for that long...and MY GOD they practically pull your hair out in the process. But she's loving the look.
Looks good on you, too :) Totally want the backstory.
Normally I don't care for the Bo Derek just been to the Bahamas look, but it shows off your face well. Somehow it works for you. It also looks like it hurt.
Wow! You're brave :) Jorge, could you please respond to my comment, just once? Pllleeeeaaasssseeee. Haha! Just so I can freak out and eat lots of icecream...Counting down the minutes til I get to see "What Kate Does."
Hi Jorge, This isn't really a comment but a question. I sent some fan mail back in mid-December (it's super awesome--on Wonder Woman paper and I sent some pictures of my friend in Germany with your boar), and I was simply wondering if you received it? My email is laura.neser@yahoo.com, if you can't reply that's fine, I'm still a huge fan of your blog! And your new hair.
Just a guess, but did you have to have this done to get the wig on for your scenes on the plane 2004? Your hair looked a lot shorter for those scenes than it did on the island 2007.
Just dropping in to say I love your blog. I moved from Oahu (Nuuanu) this summer to GA, and miss it quite a bit. I've run into you guys filming a few times over the years.
I just watched a rerun of Scrubs where Dr. Kelso goes on a Bahamian vacation with Enid and his son. He says that Enid's wheelchair will rust in the ocean and his son will spend all of his time with the trannies getting his hair braided. Later, he comes back to the hospital with that same hair style you're sporting declaring, "Damned trannies got me when I was asleep!" Did they get you, too, Jorge? Hehehe... It looks like it'd be cooler to wear than your usual do. Whatever makes you comfy, I say!
Hi there I came upon this great photo of you and your lady on the red carpet. Hope you like it too. http://tv.yahoo.com/slideshow/527/photos/ Just click through the photos to
I have never been the biggest fan of cornrows, but those look decent. And in the back of my mine, I am praying that they were finished off with beads and foil at the ends.
If this is for Lost? The show has officially jumped the shark. I can see it now, 5 years from now they will call it "Going Cornrow Hurley" instead "Jumping the Shark". :)
Discovered your blog 3 weeks ago while looking up Hurley’s real name and found Dispatches from the Island existed through Wikipedia. I have to say it’s delightful and educational to see a more personal side. The commentators are pretty funny too-(kgmoome). Your Gal Beth is quite the writer. Loved her short story The Neverending Root Canal . Should become required reading for all mankind. Actually I wonder how much is actually written by Beth on this blog- not that it really matters. Thank you both for giving us a reason to quack up.
Come on Jorge, tell us what the deal is with the hair. If it's for Lost give us the scoop. Don't worry about Cuse and Lindelof getting mad Emerson and Fox give out more scoops in a single interview than you have in 4 years. :) Besides it's the last season what are they gonna do fire you?
You have got to explain yourself in this video. As you can see from all the posts, we are all assuming crazy things that might be happening on the island. Please remember to come back to this!!!
the truth is I imagined he would not blog but I'm enjoying the blog, is definitely fun and I am Spanish but I must say that my basic English I understand what you write here, I hope you read my comment and answer it on my blog, kisses by the way I really enjoy your visit to the televison program ¨ the anthill "ciao
Yeah... So, I'm reminding you to explain this, cuz I am just dying with curiosity!! LOL!! PS. I have done this before, but I was a couple decades younger than we are now. :D
Jorge, if the braids stay in for any length of time just bear in mind (and you may have already found this out by now) that when you take those out, it's going to feel like you are losing a freakish amount of hair. Remember that we shed hairs all the time, every day, and they are just going to sit in those braids until you take them out and shampoo. I used to do braiding when I was a hairdresser and that's the number one thing I'd tell people so they didn't panic when they took them out...lol...

ReplyDeleteBet that was fun with the texture of your hair.
ReplyDeleteI just watched a rerun of Scrubs where Dr. Kelso goes on a Bahamian vacation with Enid and his son. ReplyDeleteDUDE! Is this for a LOST episode? If so, I can hardly wait. heh heh heh :)
ReplyDeleteI have never been the biggest fan of cornrows, but those look decent. And in the back of my mine, I am praying that they were finished off with beads and foil at the ends.
ReplyDeleteHere is your official reminder: please explain this. You do that look well, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess that you had to wear some sort of wig or mask and that made it easier to deal with.
