Thanksgiving on the Big Island V: Tsunami Museum

When we got to hilo we went exploring and found the Tsunami Museum.
The museum is in what was once a bank apparently this vault is now their movie theatre.
There wasn't a movie playing in it so instead we just played released bank hostage.

  3. that's so cool, i've never been in there. the bottom floor of the Koehnens building nearby is actually below sea level. They have a water pump under there that pumps out the water. and did you notice the metal loop things on the sidewalk where they used to tie up horses? lots of cool things to see in downtown Hilo!

  5. Tell me, Hurley, was you trying to find out where the island is on that video? :-)
Because i think you have to go to the lamp post DHARMA station in LA
:-) to find out where it is.
But most simply, look for a man like this

  7. I don't know. You're looking more like the hostage who escaped the bank vault with a little something-something stashed away. A few thousand dollars, perhaps?

  8. What the crap? When we do the big island we just take to exploring caves, watersports, geocaching and hiking. Not once...ONCE have we been to the treasured tsunami museum. Total gypped.

  9. Jorge,

You look like the Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben Bernanke coming out of a banking committee meeting = Thank God I’m free!

  10. I was in Hawaii years ago - on a stop over returning from Australia - and a gecko fell out of a tree and landed on my shoulder...

    That is all.

  11. Oddly, there is something familiar about you and pushing buttons... but what could that be? Just can't put my finger on it. (Pun fully intended.)

  12. I'll bet that panel is controlling what happens on "the island." (No, not Hawaii.) You just cause a few time warps.

  13. I remember you once raved about the movie ONCE. (One of my favorites, too.) Thought you might like to know that Glen Hansard and Marketa Iralovia formed a group called The Swell Season, and in October they released the CD Strict Joy. The new single is "Love Rising" and it's as good as anything in ONCE. Just an FYI in partial return for all of the great stuff you've given us! Hope your rat problem is gone; my sympathies to Beth!
