I love this cookbook. Because I own this book I will fearlessly buy any weird or random vegetable I find because I know if I look it up in this book I can make it delicious. And so far there has yet to be a recipe that calls for an ingredient that I don't have at the house.
Mine actually looks like this, because I keep the dust cover off.

Ooo... You ROCK Jorge! I am going to have to get that book. My Hubby isn't too keen on veggies, but maybe some new recipes will help. If not, then that leaves more for the girls and I!
Wow, not really a cooking fan, but it sure looks great... I am a find one for myself :D
Happy Thanksgiving, Jorge and Beth! Hope you eat lots of yummy veggies with your feast!
excellent! funny thing -- i had been wondering if such a book existed not two days ago.
you, sir, are a godsend.
Maybe you've got an eggplant recipe for me that doesn't make me gag..? I want so much to like it, but so far, nothing has appealed to me.
I've never understood the concept of dustcovers, myself. I mean who keeps their books in a shed in a desert?
Happy Thanksgiving Jorge.
Have you tried the roasted baby artichokes with roasted garlic aïoli? Mmm, mmm, MMM!
Ooh, I'm going to take note!
Mmmm. Love the vegies. Tonight I cooked zucchini stuffed with onion, tomato, bacon, breadcrumbs and topped with cheese. Delish!
Love the posts, please keep up the good work.
I love vegetarian food. See the cover of the book I like because I'm Hungry.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!
I'd still buy that copy of JERRY LEWIS' Poyfect Vegetables.
With the sauce, and the random, and the spice and the "Oh, this is delicious!"
I will surely look for this. Jorge got me hyped up on Horchata, zombies and cooking.
It's James Cook's book? :)
I think that after viewing this post, many will go to buy this book. Jorge! Beth preparing food for you, or not???
This sounds awesome. Thanks for the recommendation. Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving Jorge, Beth and Nunu. Also to all your American blog readers!
Hah! Your version is a little creepy!
It would be awesome if it was just photos of perfect vegetables inside.
Hope your vegetables are perfect today Jorge - Happy Thanksgiving!
i collect cook books and have a great vegetarian cook book too..it comes in handy for me as I'm a diabetic and I eat lots of veggies..and making them 'good and different' is hard to do some time.
I try and grow my own veggies every year...this past summer i had a bumper crop of okra..made okra fritters and they kicked ass.
happy thanksgiving sweetcakes...
Love veggies!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Cooking requires fearlessness. Have a great turkey day and enjoy vegetable weirdness. This entire world needs more weirdness.
Just wanted to stop by and say Happy Thanksgiving to you and Beth! I am thankful for your humor, insight, and pictures. You two rock! I love your work, too - Both of you! Gobble Gobble!!!
What kind of vegetables are you making today?
I am making zucchini in with my turkey, glazed baby carrots with raisins and brown sugar, and cheese covered broccoli, mashed Potatoes courtesy of Bob Evans (I hate peeling them).
And are you using that book today? Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving! :)

happy thanksgiving jorge!
Oooooh, YUM! I think I want that book!
I don't do nearly enough with veggies. I 'll have to check the book out and see if it makes me a more fearless cook. I bet it does. I was raised on canned green beans and corn. I know there is a whole world of veggies out there just waiting for me to eat them.
Hope your thanksgiving was most lovely!
Hi Jorge
Thank you for the post on the vegetable cook book. I don't fix the odd veggies as I never know how to cook them but think this book will help me expand my veggie
menu.

As a vegetarian, I definitely approve. That cookbook looks delicioussss :)
I never really write, but wanted to say thanks for the cookbook idea! I recently became pescatarian, and have been looking for good fish or vegetarian recipes.
I missed the blog in the last week, but have to comment on this one.. I collect cook books from used book stores and yard sales- I got one that let me know how "colored people enjoy food" and "how to keep your husband home with culinary magic" and I nearly fell out. I keep forgetting this country was so bizarre, (is?), not too long ago. We had some veggie folks over for our tbird day, too. Thought of your aerogarden! (folks brought me fresh herbs!)
