Someone sent me these reusable produce bags.
Not grocery bags. These are the bags you put your fruit and vegetables in.
I like that they are made out of a mesh so that the gasses can escape.
Who knew fruits and vegetables were so gassy? (Well, broccoli maybe.)
I'm going to give them a try as soon as I can remember to put them in the car with the other bags.
I mean look how happy those veggies look.

You should try them, and if you like them have them add "Approved by Jorge!" in a little starburst with you giving a thumbs up. ;) You could save the planet one produce bag at a time!

ReplyDeleteI've tried these. They keep your vegs/fruits looking fresh but not exactly tasting so fresh. They do help keep the bananas from riping too quickly
ReplyDeleteLove it! I always feel bad using those plastic bags for veggies but my germphobia gets the best of me. Those look like a good alternative.

I never use the plastic bags at the store but I am afraid the check-out person secretly hates me for having to pick up each piece of produce individually and keep them from rolling away. These could keep me happy, the check-out person happy and not be wasteful. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the great comments. I made the characters myself out of cut paper. They actually have names and personalities too. The carrot is a seed salesman named Ct. The tomato's name is DeVine. She is a lady of the night. The broccoli's name is Broc. He is a base player and a scholer.

ReplyDeleteYou can beat slugs with a cedar chip moat. It takes a day of hard work with a wheelbarrow but it really thwarts those slimy jerks. I did one around a greenhouse that was 2ft wide x 6-10 inches deep. Then you can put out beer traps for the ones already inside, or pick them off into a soapy bucket.
