Costa Rica: Tabacon Hot Springs

So the resort we stayed at in Costa Rica had these natural hot springs. Water flowing through these pools heated to piping hot temperatures by the Arenal Volcano.

It was hot. Too hot for me really. I don't even like my baths that hot.

    Natural Man's Juice. Holy crap, it gets better all the time.

    The sad thing is that moments after the second picture was taken, a three toed sloth landed on Jorge's head. Thus knocked out, he was then pick-pocketed by a roving gang of Racooters.

    I probably wouldn't like hot baths if I lived in Hawaii, but in Canada they're great in the winter (ok, most of the year.) :)

    Jorge, shouldn't you be back at work by now instead of traipsing through exotic jungles? (Don't you get enough of jungles at work?) I know filming on Lost started this week (but I think it's those other dudes at the statue). When do you go back to work?

    I hate the heat! I'm originally from California and couldn't take the hot summers. So I moved to a cooler climate. It was so worth it!

    Speaking of heat, I visited Centralia, PA in the US yesterday. This is a town that no longer exists because it had to be evacuated. It's on top of a huge coal vein, and there's been an underground fire burning since 1962! The gov't gave relocation packages to the residents and tore down all the buildings, even cancelled their zipcode. There are 6 stubborn people still living there. My blog has pics of the trip and a link to a 10 sec video I shot of the steam coming out of the ground. Way cool!

    You would probably enjoy a Swedish Sauna. Get baking hot and then go out and roll in the snow. Very good for a sluggish thyroid. Sometimes they throw herby stuff in the hot coals and you can feel the rush thru to your veins. Natural and awesome high.
