Hi from Spain! I've been in Rome a few weeks ago and I saw a photograph of you in a shop with a lot of toys made on wood, you were like a trophy for the owners ;).
YES, THIS IS LIKE THE HOGWARTS, I THINK. JORGE CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR BLOG AND I LOVED YOUR DAY IN THE " EL HORMIGUERO ". GO BACK TO MADRID WHEN YOU WANT ( SORRY FOR MY HORRIBLE ENGLISH)
Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze It means no worries for the rest of your days, It's our problem-free philosophy, Hakuna Matata.
That reminded me of Lion King so now I have that song in my head. P.S. If anyone doesn't like this song or lion king I will fight you, jk. But it's good.
hey, we've got them in Hawaii too! Saw one a couple of weeks ago in Wahiawa. Only difference was that the ones here are actually alive (that is until they end up in the imu)
Unrelated to your post... I just saw your Bonnie Hunt appearance. That was a fun watch. I liked the reveal of you and Fox not being able to look at each other. And who knew Emerson used to be a gardner, too? Wow!
haha I too have photos with both boars, but I just realized right now that they are exactly the same! I had forgotten about the one in Munich..is there a story behind them I wonder?
I was actually thinking it looked JUST like the Razorback statue in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Actually it's a fountain...the water comes out of its mouth so it kinda looks like it's drooling. hehehe
Dude, we had the exact same boar near my college campus, except he had water gushing out of his mouth. Most directions started with "Make a right at the Puking Pig..."
We've got one here in Victoria, too. If you're ever here in beautiful British Columbia, you should come rub its snout! They say it's good luck. Why they say that, I've got no idea!
Moi Jorge, from Finland! We say moi for hi ;-) Lost is the best show ever, thank you for being so great in it :-D Your blog has been really mind blowing as well!
OMG when I saw that boar - I know him! See I spent last weekend in Munich as well, just sorry I missed you ;-) Next time!
The history tell's that you have to touch the boar's nose to get lucky. I've been in florence past year in this same place, and guess? I'm feeling the great luckiest guy in the world after i have touched the boar's nose. The nature give me a child...it's the best gift in life i thouth!!! Next step i will play lotery...be a milionary just like you in the serie. Have a great travel, you deserved jorge. Hug's from Brazil!
I see there's another Victoria person reading your blog! I was going to mention the one we have here too, at Butchardt Gardens....but I somehow thought it was a bull, not a boar. It was metal and I rubbed it's nose, that much I'm sure of...lol
dude, when were you in Florence? I've lived here for almost two years and spend every Thursday morning gettin' LOST on iTunes. I walk by that boar daily.
Hey, Jorge! I'm glad to see you're having fun in Europe. You know where you'd have even more fun? Right here in Brazil, particularly now that it's not so hot and you can actually enjoy the sun and not run away from it like we do during the summer.
Anyways, I kind of have a favor to ask.
I'm a senior in college, Journalism major. I'm graduating in December and to do that I have to write a research paper about communication/journalism. It can be about anything as long as it relates to my major. So I chose to do my research about media convergence (you know, how every media - audio, video, text, internet - can be found in one place) and the impact that has on how you watch tv shows nowadays.
So I'm going to talk about that and I'm going to use Lost as my case study, because one, I'm a hardcore fan, and two, the show has one of the biggest - if not THE biggest - online fanbases out there. So people watch it through the most creative ways: downloading the eps, streaming, watching it over and over again to catch the easter eggs and stuff.
The reason I'm boring you with all this is because I need to write about the history of the show and that's not just what happens in the episodes. I wish it was that easy. It involves a lot of aspects of the show, from how it was originally thought out to distribution around the world. So it's a lot to cover. I've already emailed ABC and even the Lost Podcast thing because it would be great to be able to talk to someone who's been on the show from the beginning, you know? It doesn't have to be Damon or Carlton. I'm well aware that would be next to impossible.
But I would be more than glad to talk to anyone, really. I had a chance to interview Evangeline Lilly a couple of years ago - she promised me an interview and gave me her publicist's contact info and everything but it never happened. I doubt she would even remember me if I tried to contact her now, so I thought I could ask you to help me. I know it's a long shot, but I thought, hey why not? The worst that could happen is that I'll get a no.
So if maybe you could talk to someone from the show, plead my case if it's not too much trouble and maybe get some contact info from any of the producers, I would be eternally grateful.
Thanks a lot in advance! And I love you on the show, man. You rock!
I love these coincidences too! I saw you in the El Hormiguero Show but I don't think it was that funny at all, not because of you, of course, but because of the guys. On the other hand I saw someother interview made in a weird and very loud space, like a sports center or so, also in Spain/spanish, that seemed very much fun to me and other people I have talked to. I also liked that you could remember so many spanish cities names where you had been as a student, with your class, as you said in the second interview.
Congratulations, I love your blog. It is very fun, direct and honest. I also like your work as an actor too.
Hi Mr.Jorge :) how are you :) this is in munich ? i was on the Lost event in munich do you remember me ?? xD haha it was very funny you are the best ACTOR from Germany ;)
Recently discovered your blog and enjoyed reading all your entries over the w/e, Jorge. I think it's great that you're so accessible to your fans and any "passing traffic" such as me who thinks all the more of you for your efforts (it de-mystifys the whole "celebrity" thing a little too - no bad thing!).
Anyway, keep posting and I'll keep reading. Have a great birthday tomorrow too (mine's on Thursday, but you're somewhat younger than me)! If your travels ever bring you to Liverpool, the first beer's on me :-)
hi, i'm introducing to you my cousin's blog. she's writer from Madrid and people say that she make it pretty good. hope you enjoy thanks http://escritoraypeligrosa.blogspot.com/2008/02/copyrights.html
Quick show and tell for you. My personal project of the year is to draw a famous birthday each day as a means to keep drawing ALL the time.
So I thought you might be interested in seeing today's drawing (and by God I sure hope imdb.com and wikipedia have the age and date right and didn't make a fool out of me)!
Jimmy Buffett in a live version of lage nom ai says "were going to get as lost as the oceanic six" Also I know this is random but have you seen the movie exectuvie decsion? In it, the airline company is called oceanic.
Congratulations on your 100th show coming up! My husband and I are huge fans. We've seen every episode. I'm amazed you don't get thousands of comments for every post on here! You're one of our favorite characters. Glad to see you are just as down to earth in real life as you are on the show!
I and my sister want to wish you very much "HAPPY BIRTHDAY"!!!;O) In russian language HAPPY BIRTHDAY is translated - Pozdrovleaiu!!!!!!!!!! Pozdrovleaiu mister "Hurley" Garcia!;)
hey Jorge i hope that you are having a great trip... im sure u are from ur pictures!
I go to school in New Paltz New York and I was just out at the bars and I ran into Daniel Day Kim! I got a picture with him.. he is a really nice guy! you should come here sometime!
There's also a boar at the Viansa winery in Sonoma, CA.
"They also have sculptures throughout the garden and one in particular was very interesting. I'm from Victoria, British Columbia (Canada) and we have the same boar statue here in our world famous Butchart Gardens. Here is a link to some guy's travel shots of him with it:
Sorry the guy's not as cute as you but it's the best shot of the boar I could find! I wonder if we should flip them over to reveal the "made in China" stamp on the underside...There seem to be alot of them out there!

I concur! The once in Florence is a far better boar! :P
Hey, is that the one from Hogwarts?
In Munich, his sister.

I THINK. JORGE CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR BLOG AND I LOVED YOUR DAY IN THE " EL HORMIGUERO ". GO BACK TO MADRID WHEN YOU WANT ( SORRY FOR MY HORRIBLE ENGLISH)

There is a similar one in Kansas City too.
Florence is beautiful! You're walking? We noticed that you love cooking for blog posts, then you can have a delicious recipe, that?
Regards,
Hérika and Ariano.
Ha! That is awesome. =D
There's a boar at my local mall (outside D.C.) too! Of course, it's suppose to be Pumba, but still!
Hola! ayer en España fue el día de San Jorge! Felicidades Jorge! :)

Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase

You must fly often.
Have any other passengers freaked out and checked their ticket stub for flight "815" or "316" when they saw you on their flight?
Jorge, this post is so boaring...ahem...I thank you!
They looked exactly the same. So, I'm thinking - "There's a story here!"....and being the geek that I am, I found this:
http://www.derbyarboretum.co.uk/old_boar.htm
Have a great day!
well that's weird man...
next time you bring Locke, he'll take care of them..
poor boars
We have one in Philly too! Come see it!
It's a conspiracy...
I'm going to poop my pants if a boar statue shows up anywhere nearby.
hey, we've got them in Hawaii too!
Wow!
Detroit has a donkey, with an equally polished nose.
haha I too have photos with both boars, but I just realized right now that they are exactly the same! I had forgotten about the one in Munich..is there a story behind them I wonder?
There is one in Sydney as well. Keep rubbing the noses.
There is a similar statue at the zoo in Little Rock, Arkansas but here it is called a Razorback which is the mascot of the University of Arkansas.
I was actually thinking it looked JUST like the Razorback statue in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Actually it's a fountain...the water comes out of its mouth so it kinda looks like it's drooling. hehehe
I like the one the hassled Sawyer better. :-)
There's one in NYC, too, in a little park at the end of 57th St.
Great blog you have.

We have one here in Seattle too!!! You should definitely come visit and check it out!
I think what's more funny than the two boars is the fact that you are doing the exact same pose! Love you Jorge!
WOW!
Is Pumba!
Hakuna Matata!
Big hugs from Spain!
ahaha Jorge, boars are following you!!!!

Maybe boars have some sort of mythological meaning? Makes me want to go Google that. :)
I see there's another Victoria person reading your blog! I was going to mention the one we have here too, at Butchardt Gardens....but I somehow thought it was a bull, not a boar.
It was metal and I rubbed it's nose, that much I'm sure of...lol
Hope you are both having a great time.
We have a bunch of those here in central Texas, but ours bite!!

Hi Jorge,
I'm from Victoria, British Columbia (Canada) and we have the same boar statue here in our world famous Butchart Gardens. Here is a link to some guy's travel shots of him with it:
http://travel.webshots.com/photo/2379105050046209414kczJSb
Sorry the guy's not as cute as you but it's the best shot of the boar I could find! I wonder if we should flip them over to reveal the "made in China" stamp on the underside...There seem to be alot of them out there!
Love the blog!
Rose
There is on in NYC too in a park at Sutton Place and 57th Street.
