How about the Drombeg Stone Circle?
I was taking pictures setting up my camera on different rocks, pushing the timer and running like hell to get into the frame. One guy seeing this decided he'd help out and offered to take a picture for us.
Here it is:
Thanks dude. I appreciate the "zoom in" so it looks like we're in the middle of any random field or park, instead of the DROMBEG FREAKIN' STONE CIRCLE.
Good job not getting a single stone in the damn picture.
Guess I'll have to take the sacrifice picture my way.

Too funny!
Nice shot of y'all though.
I spend a fair amount of time helping tourists here get the all-inclusive family or group shot...but it would never occur to me to crop out the actual landmark itself.
Genius!
That is so funny. My wife and I had a similar experience in Turkey. We asked someone to take our picture under the 'Welcome to Turkey' sign. They took the picture, but it was only of us. I guess we were technically under the sign, but not the shot we were looking for.
Also - I love Ireland. Do you make it up north at all? The Giant's Causeway is incredible
Ha ha ha... sorry 'bout your pic, but great telling nonetheless :D
LOL!!!
Those pics are great! The sacrifice picture is HYSTERICAL.
I had something similar happen to me when I got engaged to my husband. We asked someone to take our picture and he cut our heads off in the pic...we had from our noses up. SO pissed. To his defense we had a "throwaway" camera back then, but still....couldn't he see our whole heads weren't ummmm in the viewfinder?
Must have been a townie who doesn't find the Stone Circle fascinating anymore...
The more I see pictures of Ireland, the more I wish I could have gone with my grandmother the... eleventy-one times she's been!
Dude, you make me laugh!
Thanks for the giggle - and even if there aren't any stones in the picture, it *IS* a nice photo of you two.
: ) P
Jorge,
Had I been available to offer my "expert" photographic services you would have had a giant thumb in the field of view!
Well, at least you got a nice close up shot. I love the 'sacrifice picture' and the road signs picture...so many places to go:)
you are a really master piece of work!!
Thank's for all insights!!
hugs
i hate that pic of us. i look like a dude.
ooooooh, i'm sooooo excited for the next post since i know what's about to happen next!
HA HA HA (evil laugh)!
Bethany, I know people are most critical of photos of themselves, but seriously, you do NOT look like a dude! It is a cute picture!
: ) P
See what you did now Bethany. I'm going to be coming back here every 5 minutes waiting to see what your evil laugh is all about. :P
Ok I admit, I *am* enjoying the whole blog thing. Jorge has a great sense of humor. You guys must have a blast.
When I was 16, my dad took my brother and I for a trip to Europe. We ended up going to Stonehenge on the summer solstice, and there were a bunch of druid (I guess??) out there in force. I ain't never seen someone dress up like a gold tree before...
It was actually really cool because we went right up and touched the rocks. I guess you can't do that anymore, they have it fenced off normally.
I'd love to go and visit Ireland someday!
My family originally comes from Sneem in Co. Kerry in the Ring of Kerry. I've visited there a few times and actually recognized some of the names on the signs in the first photo. You went to Killarney, huh?
Good photos as usual though. :)
I think the picture of the two of you is cute!!!
I want a stone circle in my backyard. My kids would get a kick out of sacrificing each other.
Hey Jorge,
You and your gal look really happy together!
I always check in here, coz I know you'll always put on funny stuff. If you have time, please check my blog. I even made some crazy co-relations between Lost and Seinfeld, and at some other post I suggest that Naveen should play Heathcliff. Tell him that, if you may. It's lawoman80s.blospot.com
Take care, "dude"!

Thanks for the laugh, especially with the last picture.....and Bethany, you do NOT look like a dude!
Hello Jorge, welcome in Kazakhstan, where U wasn't really in your life. Extremely wildest forms of tourism are here. Nights under open skies, watermelon plantations where homless workers are doing their hard work, but it is joke... Many good people in Kazakhstan know your famous serial...
