More Moloka'i
This is me at the lookout in Palaau State Park overlooking Kalaupapa Peninsula. A safe distance from where Father Damien took care of the patients with Hansen's Disease (aka Leprosy).

I love how you still say "this is me at..." or "this is me with...". Who could we mistake you for?
Maybe someone is looking at that photo and saying 'why is John Goodman standing next to that statue?'. I joke, I joke. :)
GeloU!!!!!!
Jorgeeeeee!!! Eres el puto Geniooooo!!!!
Molas MIl Millones!!!!!
Madriiiiddd te quiereeeee!!!
nos encantó tu colonia, jeje!! :D
Unos besos!!!!
Usually my photos from holidays are all with some random people I have met that evening and inside of pubs and clubs... :)
I have some pics from my last holiday in England, there are cathedrals, castles, even a beach... I wasnt the one taking the pics of course :)
So anyone who hasnt been to East Anglia should go, there is a wonderful beach, although it is quite a trek which you should not even attempt if you have a hangover, I was suffering for days.
Oh and Jorge, you watching Hell's Kitchen? :)
The father Damian was a english pirate, right?
You look so cute but where is your girl?? We need a picture of the two of you!
I love the one with the statue, its a stare down!! Who will win?? Turn in Sunday night!
Jorge,
was did you say Hansos disease?
I know you'll all be busy filming the last 5 episodes(condensed from8)From what we've seen so far,it should be pretty intense.Craft carefully.
Love your little travelogues, Jorge! How often to you get to "get away from it all"?
Ewww. Leprosy. That's gross . . . and I deliver babies for a living, I KNOW gross. But I suppose if one HAS to be a leper, Moloka'i would be the place to be be one. So beautiful!
Jorge,
Leprosy? I thought scurvy might have been the diseaase of choice in the south Pacific. Anyhow, I love the view you had of Kalaupapa Peninsula.
Do you know the price of your blog?
Your blog, dispatchesfromtheisland.blogspot.com/, is worth $102,746.28.
Would you sell it?

Hey Jorge!
Hawaii seems so great! You make me dream, unfortunately when I wake up I'm in front of my computer...It was just a dream...
=) Bye, lots of kisses from France!
Eva
If my memory serves me right the reason it was lepers was because they where exiled there back in the 1800 century or something crazy like that. Anyway left out there to get the dropsies and what not.
Gnat.

Ever since I read Hawaii I've been curious about Molokai. Recently I got two books about Father Damien and the people with Hansen's Disease that were just dumped there. I can't remember the name of the other book, with 250 on my bookshelves to be read I guess that's not so surprising ...:P
Olá Jorge! Que linda a vista em Moloka... Vejo que está aproveitando e conhecendo bem a região! Um ótimo final de semana para você! Beijossssss do Brazil... =)
I LOVE YOUR PET!!!
I've read every blog, read all the comments, and in my humble opinion
'LOST' would be lost without you; if you weren't one of the Oceanic 6, I believe viewer-ship would drastically decline.
I look forward to each and every post on 'Dispatches from the Island' - you are in reality even more delightful than as Hurley. In spite of what you said on one of these post, you will NEVER be forgotten. At least not by me or my family.
I'm supposed to ask you if you have a legit MySpace page. Daniel Dae Kim does. Would appreciate it if you could dash off an email with an answer. Yours, Dr. B.
Eeew! is that a real scarf on Father Damien? Talk about a host for disease...
Do you think Damien with the 666 on his head felt his name burned him since it was also the name of a Priest? It Burns!!! It Burns!!!
THANK YOU - for sharing so many things with us. When the we bloggies pop in to take a look, and your page has changed, it always brings a smile. It's fun to see what you're up to! Thanks for taking the time!!!
Have a great weekend!
Hey, Jorge ... out of the blue here, but a lot of H'wood types are into politics ... and, if you were planning to attend anything to do with the Democratic National Convention in Denver this summer, the town's sold out. So anyway, we live downtown, and at some point we'll end up putting someone up in our spare room ...
If you want, before we do that, and you're politically minded, etc. we'd let y'all stay free. 'Cause we're cool that way, and because you were really nice to me as a newbie TV critic, back a few years ago.
(we do have cats, and we do drink a lot of beer. But you can't beat the price: free. So lemme know if you want it .... I have references as to not being a nut, and we've met in H'wood at the TCA thing)
Otherwise, I'm sure we'll fill the room with a news dude. But your blog is a hoot, and if you planned on blogging about the DNC, well, it'd be journalism's gain.
cheers. Drop me a line.
Ok, now I'm kinda sad over the closing of the ranch place in Moloka'i~~~I was enjoying it through your eyes. That whole area just seems beautiful.
When I was at Waikiki and in and around Oahu I loved it but it was crowded. Gotta get back to Hawaii.I promise if I do, I won't come knocking on your door. :-)
As always I love your blog and I enjoy the things you choose to share to give us a glimpse of you and your lady, of Nunu and your life.
You may get tired of hearing it from me, but Jorge~~~you are a really nice guy. Love you for it.
Besos!!
