Wow. That was nice. Thank you for posting. Where will we be next spring without a new season of LOST? It was the most amazing show on TV. Mahalo Jorge and the entire cast and crew of LOST.

I think I will be rewatching this show throughout my lifetime and I bet it will change over time. That is a sign of pure greatness. Thanks for helping make the show what it was, I'll miss the characters greatly.

Yeah, very nice. I liked that last line, Finding yourself flawed and yearning to be whole. Very nice.

Hey, love your blog! Hope you'll keep going...

...will you have to change the name of your blog?

I got a bit misty-eyed while watching this, because these fans speak for so many of us. The real-life themes of humanity and redemption that run throughout LOST made it an everyman type of show. Thank you for your part in bringing this to us, Jorge!

This made me cry, and it said exactly what I've been thinking several times. Being a fan of the show has been an amazing experience. In a way, we are all survivors of 815.

First off, how cool that they could watch it in a theater. I almost cried again with them talking about it and seeing the ending again. LOST is a show all it's own.

Why does all the beautiful things come to an end? Jorge, it's been a wonderful voyage, I'll miss it, and you so much..

I'm still trying to come to grips with the end. It's kinda silly but it makes me feel like I've lost a friend now that it's gone. Jorge, thank you for all you have done, you are loved everywhere. I miss seeing you and everyone else each Tuesday.

It would have been so great to see LOST on a big screen! I am jealous! lol I've watched parts of the finale again and I still cry every time I see certain scenes.

Hey thanks Jorge. Great link - but you made my mascara run. :)

Gonna miss you and the show. I admit I feel kind of...well, I'm not going to go into how I'm currently feeling about the finale. That's not what your blog is about.

Either way, Lost kicked some serious butt and I think it's going to take me a while before I can think about it without tearing up. Gah.

Hoping you continue writing the blog even though you won't be doing it from an island OR as someone everyone knows as one of the most lovable characters on one of the most awesome shows on TV.

Good luck in your future endeavors and again - thank you.

Thank you. I really enjoyed seeing this. It made my throat catch a little, seeing that ending again, but it's so nice to know that so many of us feel the same way.

Good-bye LOST... it was without a doubt a GREAT 6-season run. Wish it could have lasted (much!!) longer. My favorite character was always Hurley. Without him the show would NOT have been the same. So glad he got to be around until the very last episode.

And Jorge, I've really enjoyed your blog, and hope you'll keep it going.

The characters from LOST become a person's friends after watching for so long. Now that the series has ended, lots of us feel like we're saying goodbye to these friends. It's been such a pleasure to have known them, but so sad to say goodbye! Thanks so much for being a part of that, Jorge! "Hugo" will live on in our hearts!

Battlestar Galactica was my favourite show and it really affected me and I love it...but LOST has now bumped it down to number two. I am so glad this show existed and it really did change my life. Thank you so much Jorge.

Hi!
I never thought i'd write, but here i am.....I just have to say thank you. Thank you for being such a great actor, for accepting the job as Hurley, thank you for being a part of a show that has been a part of my life for so long!

I met a group of women on an online craft forum, and we started chatting about LOST. After a little while we called ourselves The Sisterhood of the LOSTies, and we have talked withe ach other every single day for 6 years. We started out talking about LOST, theorising and discussing, but we ended up as a group of close friends. I am the only one that doesn't live in the US of the bunch, but they have all met up several times, and this summer i'm planning on going to the States and visit them.

LOST has been the first show i've seen from beginning to end, and there's been laughter and tears, and a few ooohhh and aaaaahh moments along the way.

I must say that the finale was just the most beautifull thing i've ever watched on tv ever. They way the losties came together, and the fact that in the end it was all about them, and their relation to each other, and i feel like that was the best ending there could ever be!

I hope that you'll have lots of work in the future because i'm really looking forward to seeing your work again!

Hugs from Jane in Norway

This made me cry, but also feel good, because there are other people out there who felt what I felt about this show. That it was something great, and that it will leave a void now that it is gone.

My husband likes to collect full seasons of shows and sit and view them over a few days, or even hours (we watch 24 hour for hour in a single day, for instance.) There were a lot of connections for us with Lost that probably didn't happen for as many people. We're both "celebrities" in our fields of work, and his music is heard all over the world, and in concert each night- we get a few days a year just to us alone. Spending it with Lost was so much more because we talked about music and its relations to mathematics. We talked about psychology, science, philosophy,mythology- from Joseph Campbell to urban myths. Lost helped us be closer to each other in some ways. We identified with the people, we know people who are Bens, Jacks, Hugos, and Sawyers. We know people who are dealing with social stigma, disability (me), aging, missed chances. I'm with Rina- not going to state my exact thoughts on the finale, because I'm of a different mindset, and might have different thoughts depending on my state of mind when I rewatch. But Lost was better than television- it was communication-vision.
Thanks for letting us be your friend, Jorge. We're going to keep supporting your work in anything you do- and I hope it involves harmonicas, music, writing, and blowing people away for years to come.

That was a really nice video. I agree w/ your commenters, that the show will be watched over & over, and it was nice for that group to get to watch in a theatre!

Never commented here, but have been a follower for a while. Just wanted to say how much I've enjoyed LOST, your blog too, and that I'm grateful to have been a part (in my teeny-tiny way) of the LOST universe. Thank-you for Hurley, and I hope you have a wonderful post-LOST life :)

My sister introduced me to LOST. We watched the first 3 seasons together, but then her "life" happened and she has not watched until this season. So after she watched the finale, we had a 3 hour conversation on the meaning, story, everything. I felt so "smart" with all of my inside info on your blog and GJB. Thanks for everything, Jorge and Beth. And keep blogging!

Thank you for posting this, made me teary-eyed too.
Like so many have already said, Lost will always be a part of my life. I can't imagine a day going by without having dome sort of Lost reminder or reference. I know it's changed the way I look at things.
It must be unreal still to be a part of such a world-wide event. It's crazy that a tv show could bring so many people together and change lives like Lost has. There are so many people that have made the show what it is, every one of you were the perfect pieces to the crazy puzzle.
Thank you for bringing us Hurley and also sharing Jorge with us. I know I look forward to your future projects, and Sidekick too. You have fans/friends for life.
Finally, borrowing a line from the wonderful musical "Wicked",

LOST
"because I knew you...
I have been changed for good.." ;D

I'm so glad you enjoy the tributes people make for the series that you contributed so much of yourself to.

We are all flawed and we are all yearning to be whole. Having the ones we love near us takes us closer to that goal.

That was a nice touch - the video. Echoed my feelings exactly. Watched the finale again 2 more times and EVERY time I get weepy. You did a damn good job of saying goodbye to Jack. You my friend deserve an Emmy nomination. Can't wait to get the DVD this August. I heard it will be the Hugo and Ben story as first and second? Awesome dude. Can't wait.

Noemi said...

Wow let the flood gates open again...Jorge that was very nice of you to post that tribute so many of us feel this way. Gracias for this great blog and I can not wait to see what you will do next...

That was so lovely. It started me crying all over again.

I don't think I'll ever be able to watch the finale without sobbing.

We're fans for life and everyone associated with the show is like a hero to us. Just last night, I saw Francois Chau (wearing a lab coat) in a very funny Bud Light commercial- Guys - that asteroid is going to destroy the Earth. I laughed, then smiled and felt really really good. LOST is still out there for us.
