My Finale Day

I chose to watch the finale in Hawaii with my friends.
I figured this was where it all started so this was where it should end.

And I baked. We decided to make it a bread, wine and cheese spread. And then popped a cork at the end of the night. It was nice.

The food looks absolutely amazing! I love that last picture.

By the way, I thought the finale was awesome. Congratulations and thank you for everything you brought to the show.

That bread looks amazing! And love the cork popping at the end. Hope it didn't go dim and steam start shooting out of the bottle.

Thank you so much for six years, Jorge. I have loved your show from day one and that finale affected me emotionally in a way nothing on television ever has. It's going to stick with me for a long time. Excited to see what projects you get up to in the future :)

Wow, what gorgeous bread!

Thank you so much for sharing your story here on the blog. Your final performance as Hurley was pitch perfect, and the scene with Hurley and Jack outside the cave makes me cry everytime I think about it.

I wish you all the best with all your future endeavors!

Did you have Smoke Munster (Monster) cheese?! Of course, you would have to wait until you uncorked the island (i mean, wine) before you could actually cut into it!

One of the many reasons I'm happy I watched Lost over the past six years: it made me find this blog. I hope you keep on posting even after the series is over, Jorge, because it's an awesome read on its own account :) You're the man!

And of course, congratulations for being part of such a great show. I can't think of a tv series that ever affected me that much. Thank you (and the rest of the Lost folks) for giving us fans this amazing experience! ♥

I love that table!!

And I am SOOO much more confused then before! The ending created so many questions. And when you think you figured out the answer, it would create another question!!! ACK!

That looks absolutely delicious, Jorge. I hope you all enjoyed it. And I really appreciate all the work you've done in the series. People can say what they want about the end, but they can't deny it's been an incredible ride. Thanks for every moment.

Congratulations on the finale, though it's hard to see the end of a big project like that, sometimes. I was glad that Hurley got to play that role at the end. :)

Looks delicious, Jorge! I was going to make a baked ziti for the finale, but instead chose a bunch of less distracting finger foods...didn't want to miss a second of the action!

Holy smokes, that looks amazing.

Have you tried making a jalapeno and cheese bread? A friend of mine makes it every time we go over for a board game night and it's amazing. I asked because I noticed one of the breads looks like it might have jalapeno or some sort of pepper on top?

I'd love to see some of the recipes you've come up with as I absolutely love to bake. :)

Once we started watching the Season 1 dvd, we stayed up for 2 days strait watching the Season 1.... The rest was history. We ended with the same guys and the same pizza from the same pizza place

Everything goes full circle it seems!

Just wanted to post to thank you for a great series. I hadn't realized how much I'd grown to love these people that you and the cast played and how much I'll miss them.

You grew so much as an actor in the last six years. I don't know from where you pulled that wrenching sob when Hurley finds out that Jin and Sun didn't make it, but it damn near tore my heart out of my chest. And your scene with Michael Emerson where you're horrified at having to take over as protector? Brilliant.

I hope that somewhere out there, some casting agent is able to look at those performances and give you the kind of role that befits your talents. But whatever that is, Hurley will be a hard act to follow. Because while we may wish we looked like Kate, or could attract chicks like Sawyer, or could be as badass as real Locke, we all wish we had Hurley's heart.

Rockharpered said...

I tried to make a Dharma logo themed cake. It spewed out of my oven so it looked like my oven crapped itself. I did however manage to save the bottom layer and decorated it anyway. Baking/cooking...Not fun. Your bread stuff looks amazing, and less spewey than my sad excuse for a cake...

Anyway, thanks for a great six years. I know the cast became like family to each other, but you indirectly brought many people together, and in turn became our family every Tuesday night. For me, no flight I take will ever be the same, no island vacation without an inkling of thought about "the others." Just two weeks ago I was flying out to Madrid, the flight was really turbulent at times, and once we landed, the guy next to me turned to his girlfriend and said, "Guess we weren't on the Oceanic 815 after all." It turns out they were flying out to see family and watch the finale. How awesome is that?

I sat down to watch a show out of boredom, I wound up absolutely smitten with every theory, idea, and character. All I have now is Family Guy. Its pretty much the only show I can stand watching.

Life will definitely not be the same.

Thanks man,

Antonia

You will all be missed. I am very thankful for dvds. I have all the seasons so far and I have season 6 pre-ordered on Amazon. I'll be watching you all live out your lives and deaths on dvd for many years to come, I hope, but it will still seem weird not to be able to watch new episodes of you on tv each week. May your lives all be wonderful post-LOST! Mahalo and Namaste! Love You All!

Jorge, it was a life experience. I know, especially for you and your friends acting in LOST it was surely intense life changing thing. But for us too, as for viewers of LOST.

There is no another TV show like LOST, and actually LOST is not a TV show, but much much more...

It was great to follow characters development, especially yours, where you were grown up from sad looking dude fearing of seeing blood into a huge hero being actually mostly open-hearted in the whole characters constellation.

Thank you, Jorge. And please don't disappear. If you will write another blog, we will be your readers, from the first post. Just because you are awesome. Just because you are.
