Aw man! I can't even think about this. I'm going to miss my favorite show and my favorite character (Hurley). :o(

Oh well...I'll always have this blog. I hope that your future ventures are all as exciting and successful as this one has been. Best wishes to you!

Hugo, definitely my favorite character. But here's to your bright future after Lost. (don't stop blogging though)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JORGE!!!

Must be a lot like graduation -- leaving people who became good friends for the duration, but whose paths are already diverging.

Comfort yourself with the knowledge of a job well done and time well spent.

And the unconditional love of an army of fans.

Cheers to a great six years - and hope you had a great birthday!

Love your blog, thanks for sharing with us.

Happy belated birthday, Jorge!

And awww about Lost ending; that's always sad, I know. I was a theatre actress in a former life, and it was always a little wrenching to close and strike a show. O'course, the longest I ever did a show was about six months. Your castmates and crew become your family, and it's a little scary to let that go. I can't imagine working on a gig for six years and having to do that.

But y'all will be doing press and stuff, I'm sure, and you'll see each other again once those of you who are moving to L.A. get stateside. Hollyweird is a small town, really...;)

Now enjoy the fruits of six years' labor, bask in the accomplishment, decompress, and get out there to conquer the world again. I have complete faith in you and your colleagues.

Love,

Irish

I think that I speak for everyone when I say... NO! This really just hits home that the show's going to end! I'm gonna miss it!

Though I'm not sure if you'll read this or not Jorge, I just wanted to tell you thank you so so much for being with LOST all of these years-Hurley's been one of my favorite characters since the show started.

Sorry this is a late Birthday Greeting but hope it was happy. I've loved reading your blog and hope you continue writing. We're heading to Oahu in August and wanted to know where you suggest I take my rabid Lost fan 14 year old daughter to see whatever they plan to leave behind - maybe golf course? Thanks again for the blog!

Aw, man, I'm sorry. :(

I feel that same sense of dread too. I can't believe it's over.

Thank you for working the last six years to give us a great show like LOST. All the fans have found something to love in the show, and we're going to miss it.

Thanks, Jorge!

We'll miss you and LOST. :-(
Please keep the blog going though because what I love more than LOST is checking in on you and Beth and little Nunu and all of your adventures. You're such a fun little family. XOXO

Congrats to you and all of your cast mates for such an excellent performance. You are all phenomenal actors and had it not been for your distinct personalities, LOST wouldn't have gotten to where it is today :)

Happy day after birthday!!! Lost's finale is on my birthday, and so I'll be happy (prezzies) and sad (bye bye Lost).

I hope Beth gave you the bestest birthday evar, and enjoy your post-Lost life together.

Lance said...

Well if what I'm reading in the comments is true then Happy Birthday!!! I have to admit I hesitated watching the videos since it makes the end that much closer.

Late to the party but still... happy birthday Jorge!

That's kind of sad, but I imagine you have made some friends for life and you'll keep great memories from these years.

You're young and great things are still to come!

Cheers

Big congrats!

So sad to see Lost come to its conclusion. Thank you for such a wonderful performance as Hurley, for always bringing a smile to my face, and for giving so much to your fans. I wish you, and all of the fine actors on Lost, all the best in the years to come.

Trisha said...

Hi Jorge, that is the saddest title I have ever seen on your blog. Thanks for the memories. Hope you had a happy birthday. Just wondered, are you changing the name of your blog when you leave Hawaii? TV won't be the same without Lost but all the best for the future.

Is it a coincidence that the two videos were 16 and 23 seconds long? The numbers, they are everywhere!!! Thank you so much for six wonderful seasons of LOST - you brought so much heart to the show both you and it will be sorely missed. Be well and enjoy the post-LOST world!

amyf said...

I am SOOOO attached to all these characters, and Hurley has always been my favorite. The end will be ALMOST as bad as losing the love of my life (my cat Dundee) a few months ago. :-( And I don't have anyone to watch the finale with, which makes it even worse. Anyone in Metrowest Boston want to come over that night to cry with me?

Jorge, we as the loyal LOST fans, will truly miss the greatness that you and your cast mates bestowed on us week after exciting week!!!

Now for the smaller words: Dude! I'm like so sad!!! LOST is like my all time favorite show ever!!! Boo!!!

Thanks for the memories of Hugo Reyes! You did an amazing job and I hope everything works out for Hurley in the show!

James said...

Hats off to the end of a era...The Hugo Era.

When it's all said and done, I hope you feel it was a job well done, Jorge. And more than that, do your very best to retain those memories forged there, on the set of LOST. Of the varied personalities that filled your time there. Of the people you loved, and the ones who loved you. Cause in the end, I guess thats what really floats the boat.

I'd like to shake your hand, and say good job, but we both know that'll likely never happen. And I don't know if your anything like your charactor, but even so, I leave you now with a profound and heart-felt, "Dude!!"

Oh, Jorge, this just made me so sad watching those... like a weight was on my chest. :( I hope it was a beautiful last day.

Thank you for being one of the true highlights of the past 6 years of TV viewing for me. I cannot tell you how much I'm going to miss Hugo Reyes.

I too am soo sad to see it end. You have done a terrific job and have enjoyed the show. I wish you and Beth all the best, and hope to see you again soon on the screen--big or small.

Thanks again for all the entertainment and keep us posted on your activities on your blog.

Usually a pause comes over me during stories that follow a far-fetched plot. An involuntary reality check, reminding me that it is just a story and preventing me from becoming evolved at that special level that lifts entertainment from a diversion to an experience. But good writing, good casting, good directing and good acting make a difference. Everyone one on Lost has me so sold on their characters and every week my practicality becomes lost in the moment. And the life you bring to the character of Hugo is second to none. Please accept my sincere congratulations on a great job and keep us up to date on your coming projects.

You have done a great job, Jorge! You performed well and kept in touch with your fans! We really appreciate that. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors! I'm sure it was bittersweet...if not all bitter...to have separated from your cast and crew mates. C'est la vie! God bless!

So sad and yet so wonderful - you've contributed so much to one of the most amazing television experiences in the history of the medium. I hope there's a sense of peace for you in the completion of a masterpiece. I love the way Hurley has matured as a character from light relief to incredible pathos and significance to the mythology of Lost, and I'm sure Jorge has made a similar journey! You're awesome - can't wait to see what you do next. :)

Thanks for 6 great seasons, Jorge. You made Hugo a favorite character - the heart and soul of the Lostaways - who spoke for the audience when we had no clue as to what was going on. :) Best wishes for great things to come from you!

I forgot about your birthday!! Hope you had a great day.

Thank you so much for the videos, in them you kinda look like I feel. Well, me and like umpteen bazillion people feel about the ending. Bummed, sad, at a loss.

I feel like at least Elmer will be with you and Beth and Nunu. :-) I hope I will too, thru your blog here.

Besos~~

So sad that the ride known as LOST has come to an end. Must have been an excellent job, and a wonderful place to go to work every morning.

Looking forward to more last day stuff when the DVD comes out.

So sad : (

I hope you find a way to stay in Hawaii....if you want to stay in Hawaii.

I'd want to stay, but that's just me.

When we saw Hurley crying on the show, I said to my husband. "I think Jorge Garcia is REALLY crying. I think he's sad because he thinks he has to leave Hawaii."

I cried when it was close to time for us to leave that place.

Anyway, wherever you decide to end up...best wishes to you.

Happy belated B-day! As so many (Sorry for the pun) others have said here: I will mourn the end of the show. You are an amazing performer, as an actor and a singer.
While I will miss Hurley, I can't wait to see what you will do next!

That's just so sad. :/ As hard as it is as a fan of the show, I can't imagine what it must be like to be leave that family of cast and crew, maybe even Hawai'i too. Hope it helps to know how much the work you all have done has been appreciated and valued over the year. Thanks for making the best show ever. ;)
