We only do one or two a season and to make them last we spray all the nice orange surfaces we reveal with an antibacterial spray - I think Lysol is our current selection. Doesn't last for ever, but the anecdotal evidence strongly suggests a much longer 'non-melted' existence.

Stay JOLLY!
DDavidhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17705058264823020540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4709135205683579877.post-69801313518439644852009-11-02T14:19:49.329-08:002009-11-02T14:19:49.329-08:00I love the melting one - that's too clever.I love the melting one - that's too clever.Miss Scarletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08452672472264974113noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4709135205683579877.post-64378800463025034242009-10-30T23:21:48.820-07:002009-10-30T23:21:48.820-07:00Happy Haloween Jorge & Beth

Unfortunately the day after appears to have not been a good day for Beth's pumpkin lantern. :( Doesn't matter where we lived--CA, NC, or HI, we always did our pumpkins the day before or right after school on Halloween so they would still look good and not stink too bad. Bugs like the pumpkins, too, so we ended up composting them in the corner of our NC house's yard with our ever falling oak leaves and had really good growth in that part of the yard. Enjoy Halloween!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4709135205683579877.post-26655754150870891952009-10-29T09:48:39.669-07:002009-10-29T09:48:39.669-07:00For what your need - Word Verification here???For what your need - Word Verification here???Eugen Caitazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13159056555310099138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4709135205683579877.post-40982125170425103672009-10-29T09:47:38.512-07:002009-10-29T09:47:38.512-07:00It looks very frightening, your yard for a time be...It looks very frightening, your yard for a time became a place for the "deceased" pumpkins ...

Jorge, I want to ask you what you put into this purified pumpkins - candles or not?Eugen Caitazhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13159056555310099138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4709135205683579877.post-61472210515440625572009-10-29T09:19:11.733-07:002009-10-29T09:19:11.733-07:00When I was a kid you couldn't get pumpkins whe...When I was a kid you couldn't get pumpkins where I live, so we used to hollow out big turnips...rubbishPaul Spoonerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00110246485785535281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4709135205683579877.post-43215583570792137722009-10-29T09:07:10.481-07:002009-10-29T09:07:10.481-07:00I just looked back at last years pumpkins (awesome...I just looked back at last years pumpkins (awesome!) and the build-a-gingerbread house party.
