Well after much digging on our and ABC's part, we found it was a promo for an ABC affiliate in Wichita, Kansas KAKE. (Get it?)

Many of you commented about a video floating around where we're saying "mmm...cake" and wondered what it was from.

OH that explains it. I must admit to being completely mystified by it, but damn wasn't Emerson's take on it absolutely awesome in a kinda-creepy kind of way.
I live in Wichita and I never saw the spot. I'm incredibly disappointed. It sounded amazing.

Michael Emerson's terrifying line reading of the word "cake" ALMOST prevents me from ever again eating one...
I live in Salina and KAKE is our local ABC affliate and I never saw it either!! Oh well, I saw it the other day. I wonder what was supposed to be in the background instead of the green screen?

It just made me think of Sylar from Heroes. Right after he killed a woman in an office building, her coworkers burst into her office with a birhtday cake. If I'm not mistaken... Sylar's exact words were... "mmmmmm cake"
My grandma used to live down the street from the KAKE studios and it always made me think, "Mmmmmmm, cake!" This makes me smile.
