It's windy here today.

So windy it blew off the top of the temple.

Yes. We headed to higher ground.

We took the dog and headed to Ken and Nancy's up the hill. Now we're just waiting for the water to rise in a couple of hours.

The Dharma Bears Came to Visit

They were sent to me by the Dharma Bear Initiative.
First thing I did was put them to work.
Then they got a little R & R.
And then I released the hound.

Just read Episode 15

And it is AWESOME.
And I'm super excited about the guest star.

P.S. Don't spoil in the comments section.

Trust Me

You guys will know when it's time to talk bout the cornrows before I do.

Man! Look at this HUGE blueberry!

Here it is next to an average blueberry.
It's so big I might have to just cut off a piece and save the rest for later.

For those of you who missed the SOB

That's Sunset On the Beach you dummehs!

I talked to someone on the phone.
I signed some autographs.

Took a lot of pictures.
And some lady gave me her baby.
Fun was had by all.
(Except for maybe the baby.)

Wounded Warrior Project

Friends of mine are running the L.A. Marathon to raise money and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project.

"Wounded Warrior Project Provides programs and services to severely injured service members during the time between active duty and transition to civilian life."

I can't run the the marathon with them because I'm still going to be here shooting LOST. (Darn!) But I did join their team in support.

Flour + Salt + Yeast + Water

My newest hobby is bread making.

It's amazing how four simple ingredients can can do so much.

I started with two books I ordered over the holidays.
Peter Reinhart's Artisan Breads Everyday
and My Bread by Jim Lahey.

Here's my first bread.
Then I tried to make my own starter. This is a bit of a process because you have to baby it. (It's kinda like when you're in school and you have to take care of an egg.)
I took it to work with me so I could give it a stir between scenes.
Eventually it became a mother starter. I made a couple baguettes with that starter but apparently I don't have any pictures. But I did get a shot of my last bread which I was most proud of.
