Munich Talk Show
Here's a picture from a talk show I did in Munich. They main difference between German talk shows and Spanish ones? No ant puppets.

This is the first comment on my last post.

HEY! Nothing to do with your BLOG but I just came from the SPINAL TAP concert at the Paramount theater here in Oakland, Ca. and they gave you guys (LOST) a shout out! BY SPINAL TAP! They said they were sorry we were all going to miss the show tonight.
Thanks for letting me know CJ. (Can I call you CJ?)
Beth is so jealous because she LOVES them.

Madrid: First Night
The day we landed in Madrid I had a talk show to do. It's called "El Hormiguero" (the ant hill).
The interview starts out with you and the host Pablo,
but then these two ant puppets pop out and take over.
They asked me to pick lottery numbers so that everyone in the audience would play the same ones that week.
Then we did some experiments with dry ice.
(Note the show's resident "Mad Scientist" has a Dharma logo, he said he's had it for three years on the show now.)
It was a pretty wild show but I had a lot of fun.
As it turned out mine was their number one rated show featuring an international guest, beating both Will Smith and Hugh Jackman. That felt pretty awesome.
I held that title for one whole day by the way, until I was dethroned by Miley Cyrus.
I didn't stand a chance.
Me 'n' Ken
Here's a shot of Ken and I hanging around the van trying to look tough.
As you can see many of the plants on LOST island are actually in pots.
And here's a shot of our album cover.
It's kind of a collection of soft rock hits.

Munich First Stop
On the way to the hotel in Munich we stopped to see surfers riding the standing wave on the river here at around 10 o'clock at night. That water HAS to be cold.

It's Frühstück on Flight 453
The OJ was fantastic. Um... excuse me there appears to be something green on my fork. Beth thought I was having a baked potato.

Munich coming soon
I wanted to start posting pics from my trip to Munich, but we need to get new batteries for the camera. Apparently the batteries we bought yesterday were dead.
So instead here's a picture I took in the bathroom at Finn McCool's.
(This is the only picture taken in the bathroom that I can post. )

Flew into LA today
And just my luck I was "randomly selected for a secondary screening."
Let me tell you the LAST thing I want to hear when some dude is patting me down is,
"Are you the guy from LOST?"
C'mon man. Is this really the time or the place? Thanks for making "randomly selected" feel a lot less "random."

The Middle One's a Strawberry
Colored eggs tonight. We only did five. Actually six, but one them didn't survive.
So I went to the dentist recently.
And they took x-rays. And as usual they put that lead apron on me. When did this thing become a turtle-neck? And what about my neck from before?

Today's Harvest
Lima Beans.
Enough for one serving.
For a small child.
(Small children don't even like lima beans.)

When (will) the lights go down...?
So we went to the JOURNEY concert. Saw the new guy. Man they love Journey out here. People were swaying with their arms around each other.
The light was on me for what seemed like an eternity. On top of that I wasn't very comfortable being in a spotlight in the middle of a sold-out Blaisdell Arena. I just kept thinking to myself, "when is this song going to end and the lights go back to normal"
My favorite song : Ask the Lonely.
My least favorite song: One of the new ones. Don't know the name, all I know is that during it, a spotlight was shone down the aisle right in my face.

JOURNEY was shining lights on the audience a lot this show. Way more than any other concert I've been to.
Dear JOURNEY,
Don't do that. We came to see you, not each other. And we can't do either when you blind us.
Sincerely,
The Audience

There's a sweat rag with you name on it.
When I was working on the finale I had to shoot in a moving vehicle. And so the woman who was working makeup at the time, gave me a folded paper towel to put in my pocket and dab the sweat between takes. Afterward I looked at the towel and noticed that she had written my name on it. Wouldn't this make my forehead dirty?
Why was she trying to keep all of our sweats organized?
Can you clone someone from their sweat?

Thank You SciFi Rewind
I finally got to watch my BSG finale. And my DVR cut off early. Luckily I could go to the website and get the closure I needed..
Bath Time!
Just like in the olden days I take a bath about once a month.
(Unlike the olden days I take a shower pretty much daily.)
And now that we have water pressure again I can finally use the tub
and test out my Milk and Cookeez cupcake.
It's a two parter. The bottom or "cake" is like a huge alka seltzer tab of good smellin' bath stuff.
And the top or "frosting" is soap. It's fun and smells awesome. The soap even kinda tastes sweet. BUT DON'T TASTE IT. It takes a turn after the initial lick.
This is definitely soap.

Splatter Cakes
So I was tooling around my local Whole Foods, when I came across something so odd I had to take a picture of it.
It's pancake batter in a whipped cream can. I couldn't believe it. And it's "organic" no less.
I ended up buying it. I wasn't sure yet if I was going to use it or just take it out periodically to show to people.
Well in name of research one morning I decided to give it a try.
I squirted my first pancake in the pan.
Understandably because the can is pumped with air you will get an "airier" pancake. And by "airier" I mean "holier." And by "holier" I mean full of holes, not closer to heaven.
Okay it turned out alright but I figured making spray pancakes would allow for more adventurous shapes.
So my second pancake had a little more flair.
It's kind of a starfish. In the world of pancakes, if you start with a star you'll end up with a starfish.
I liked my third one but it was a bitch to flip.
BTW when it comes to pancakes, I'd pick jam over syrup every time.
How did they taste you ask? Well... they were fun to cook.
Somehow they just didn't taste "organic" to me.

Another Season Over
Well, assuming that yesterday's work was completed and the dailies look alright, we have closed the books on another season of LOST.
I still can't shave for about a week just in case.
Earlier this year I shot my DVD interview for the season as well.
It's cool because it's the first time you can actually talk about stuff that hasn't aired yet, even though you don't know how the season will end.
In fact I still don't. There are still some holes in the story that I haven't been filled in on.
